Believe me that was one of the parts that made me cringe hard. That whole show literally turned me off of even considering getting and X1. Especially the part when Major Nelson said, and made sure he emphasized it when he did, "we are about to make "ENTERTAINMENT" history." Right than and there I almost turned the channel.
As a once hardcore MS fan I was clinging to a shred of hope something would've happened tonight to give me a little hope. NOTHING! ...
That pre launch show on Spike TV with Geoff Keighley was horrible. Nothing but a couple of mid level stars, and athlete, a couple of musical performances, giving a custom xbox one to an achievement ho (BIG DEAL), and the same games we all already knew were coming out. Nothing new. It ended over an hour ago and not one article talking about it because there is literally nothing to talk about. That show was so lame I was literally cringing.
Geoff literally looked like he was go...
"but the vague promise of a new Uncharted is still about the only exclusive game you can make any assumption of quality about."
WHAT?
After 3 generations of high quality IP's you can only make assumptions Sony will provide quality titles for the PS4?
*rolls-eyes and walks away*
Sh*t just got real. Fans of the same hardware manufacturer are turning on each other. Their cannibals! j/k

Like I said last week, not that those that wanted to rub salt in a wound that never existed actually listened, let's chillax until we have a percentage rate. These could be isolated issues.
This is what I wrote 5 days ago when the PS4 hardware issues were being blown WAY out of proportion.
"Those that would make this into something it's not might want to take a breath. The next console is about to be launched, and if anything, they are the ones that have something to prove when it comes to reliability.
All electronics have a failure rate. Until it's a known fact what the percentage that rate ends up being it's a moot point. Pers...
Playing it right now and having a blast with it. Definitely the best running AC game so far. Having all this power it would be hard not to make this game run smoothly. It looks stunning in 1080p.
No ma1asiah, they are not the only site to give it that score. Though more sites scored it below a 7/10 than above it. More sites actually scored it at or below a 6/10 than did 7/10 or higher. So in fairness this is on average among one of the higher scores.
Please, you don't even have to go to that level.
Ryse or Resogun?
I'd much rather play Resogun.
Ryse is barely a rental. Been saying it all along and now the critics have weighed in and agree. Ryse runs below average (dipping into teen frame rates) and is a simplistic and repetitive engine. It never evolves as you progress. Once you played an hour, other than the levels / missions, you played it all as far as mechanics go.
I have put as many ho...

We heard you the 1st time.
What AAA titles?
I don't see any exclusive game (indie or retail) getting an averaging rating over 9 / 90. Not even a single multiplat on either console rated that high.
Edit:
Okay my bad. I just took a quick glance at metacritic. Flower received a 92. Never played it. But every other titles overall rating is below a 9 / 90 average. I think it's safe to say we are going to have to wait a bit for AAA titles. Unless of course we are changing the definiti...

Shouldn't you guys being standing in line anxiously awaiting your cablebox so you two can play the most spectacular game ever made? Ryse

Just another site looking for hits.
I purchased 9 games at launch and downloaded a few. So far I have only had time to completed 3 SP games, dabbled in a couple others and played online for about 10 hrs on with COD, BF4 and Killzone. Trust me when I say I've been gami...

And you're spot on.
"Ryse has been a 7/10-game in my books"
I honestly thought it would be hard pressed to hit a 6 and it looks like overall it's going to fall under that number. It was too RUSHED. Not that Crytek knows how to make a stellar game but it could've been better if MS wasn't rushing games out the door just to have some exclusives at launch.
Ryse is on of the launch titles that screams, WE JUST NEED MORE TIME!"
It's official, Ryse is flaccid.
Those of us being honest to ourselves knew exactly what this game was going to be. Nothing but pretty visuals to show your friends. When they ask, "can I play it?" You try to quickly distract them by saying yeah but first let me show you all the cool features the X1 has to offer us gamers. I mean it's an "ALL in ONE box" after all. Wanna watch some football?
I said last week when a ton of, well you k...
Actually the frame rate dips down into the teens when he was firing arrows on the bridge and the explosions start happening. I'm sure there are even more demanding levels where I could see this game hitting low teens or possibly even single digits at times. I'm sure for the most part it will hover around 30fps but teens is chugging and will hamper the gameplay significantly.
In any case Phil Spencer needs to go into ninja mode and be silent for a bit after his Ryse wi...
Someone needs to hand Phil a towel so he can wipe that egg off of his face. Good catch komp.

Can we now stop about Ryse and put this to rest? It is exactly what those of us that were being honest to ourselves knew it was going to be. Great visuals, okay performance, shallow and repetitive game mechanics. Typical Crytek.
It's a rental at best with an overall 61 meta score that most likely will drop into the 50...
@FamilyGuy
I don't remember the exact size of the ACIV patch but it took about a 1 to DL and install.
Stop it guys.
Seriously, enough already! Resolution doesn't matter ONE bit (see what I did there?). Just ask Adam Sessler. /s

I purchased a slew of games at launch taken advantage of the Target 3 for 2 deal. ACIV was among them but I didn't open it because I knew the patch was incoming. The day the patch was relea...
Dead Rising 3 is a heavy hitter, seriously?
DR3 was never meant to be a AAA title / heavy hitter. It's an average looking over the top arcade dismember zombies game.
Forza 5 definitely could have been but any honest fan of the series knew it wasn't going to be. It arrived a year too soon having less than half the content of Forza 4 and an okay boost in visuals but nothing spectacular.
Ryse was the game most touted / hyped game coming ...
I'm shocked that the media, for the most part, is given an honest assessment of this game. Visually it's not impressive enough, hold on a second before some get their panties in a bunch, to warrant Turn 10 cutting 400 cars and over a dozen tracks from Forza 4 to Forza 5.
If these graphics were mind bending it still doesn't warrant full MSRP when you give your fan base half the game it's predecessor was. It also points out what a shill Sessler is giving it a pe...
Wow this is a horrible comparison. You know IGN there are these things called menus on displays. You might wanna open a display manual and try it out. You make the PS4 version look low in contrast, gamma set too high and less color. The first thing I did after the update on my PS4 was go into the PS4 display settings and my LED menu display.
When I play ACIV on my display it looks more vibrant than the XBOX ONE version they are showing here. If you're going to do a compar...
