I have never seen so many fanboys get worked up over such a completely pointless lawsuit. Because the hilarious thing is that the real threat, the hackers who actually do the pirating and compromise the PSN are not on trial LMAO.
The Apple jailbreak trial on the other hand was huge with meaningful ramifications. Compared to that, this one is a snooze fest.

Why is that so hard to believe? The PSP is almost as powerful as the PS2. The PS3 is a 2006 era design with 512K. Now a days 512k is standard in droids and the iPhone 4. Sure it might not match the PS3 in playing Bluray games like Uncharted 2 but it should come close enough.

Yup. I played the beta, they will fail. The rifts are nothing but a bunch of moving public quests. Interesting at first but annoying and tired in the long run. In order to be a threat to WoW they must be better than WoW and sadly they are not. Not even close.
I'm disappointed in how extremely limited the character creation is in comparison to other super heroes MMO. For example let's say I want to create a toon based on Ice Man, I can not. Ice Man doest fly, he travels around on a block of ice, he doesn't shoot hand blasters with his glove, his ice rays and bolts are a part of his natural ability.
I also can't create a purely strength based melee character, because all toons in DCUO have some sort kinnetic or ener...
This lawsuit will fail or the intention behind it will fail. Everyone knows this. It is merely a delaying tactic as Sony desperately scramble to do damage control and in doing so resort to their nuclear option. The problem is legal actions does not work, it's proven again and again to be completely ineffective and almost always end up backfiring in the company's face resulting in more grass root support for the hackers.

Banning and bricking their consoles will only result in more pirates. This is why Apple and Microsoft never resorted to such tactics, it creates bad press and gives the consumer the impression that the company is losing control and bring the heavy handed TOS to forefront of the consumer consciousness.
That is never a good thing and could impact their sales.

There's a reason why Microsoft and Apple never bothered to sue hackers. It's a massive waste of time and money. The only result of this lawsuit will be more hacks. Good luck getting to the offshore hackers.

I'm comparing the PC version being played on a 480 GTX vs the PS3 from You Tube...wow huge difference in texture quality. Maybe I'll pick up the PC's version from one of Steam's sales someday, but for now Gamefly's PS3 version is the way to go.
