I literally have one friend who prefers to play on Xbox. He recently gave in though and currently enjoys Detroit and God of War. He still plays multi on Xbox so cross play would be nice but c'mon. This debacle has absolutely zero effect on majority of gamers. And is it me, or the loudest here actually do not have PS4 at all?

Nintendo has no choice but to have some kind of cross-play. Sony is out so MS was the second best choice. Who would pay for a network with no players? MS is using them as leverage to rally people against Sony. Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't Minecraft on Switch require Live account? I was looking for games and Sony delivered. Rest doesn't matter.
As a game designer, I was extremely impressed how well everything blended. No wonder it looks fake or scripted to some people. If you look closely it clearly wasn't. Just well played and timed.
AC is an established IP. The game still has all the traits of AC game. Calling the game differently wouldn't be a wise business decision. Especially when Origins was critically well acclaimed and received.
I don't think they'll announce anything this year. Next E3 maybe.
