And that's exactly what makes this game a button masher... You just need to smash any button without even knowing what are you doing. People only care about what happens on screen and about what are they really doing... That's not the type of game that I would consider the King of actions games. More like the King of button mashers.

I beat the game twice (hard and Elite) and for me Killzone 2 was sh1t. The very definition of a generic shooter. Dull and boring. Awful art design and the worst of all... The Gameplay.
I sold it for Uncharted 2. Now that's a game. They didn't took 5 years and made a beautiful games that craps all over Killzone 2 from gameplay to graphics.
I was thinking the same... But if it's true then, WOW, I just can't believe it. ;_;

Wow, instead of running below 30fps most of times, now it runs at constant 30. That's not minor but a microscopic improvement. One of the selling point of the game it's that it runs at 60fps and the PS3 version struggles to keep at constant 30... Man this piss me off. >=(
This shouldn't get approved. I know what the author is trying to say but most people around here don't even read the articles and even if they did the only thing this will do is help the flame war get even bigger. And then we have the articles whining about the fanboys and how they are to blame for world diseases when in fact are these "sites" the ones to blame for spurring this kind of action.
Because it's gonna be so easy to download a 25GB game just to play it for a few days...
because those are IP's owned by Sony so it is obvious that they'll not come to the X360. But games like FFvsXIII or Quantum Theory are another story because these are third party exclusives.
At a low setting yes, at a max setting obviously no. Console gaming it still struggling to run games on 720p at 60fps while on PC you can play them at 120fps and 1200resolution... That's higher than both the 60fps and 1080p that consoles can produce and lets not even talk about the texture quality and physics.
My first PSX game was Parasite Eve(1998) and then FFVIII because of a trailer I saw in a demo disc that came with the game. It said: FFVIII coming winter of 1999, and I was like, "NO WAY, this looks incredible!" and everything was CGI. Lol
But the game used pre-rendered background so for its time it looked incredible.
After FFVIII I discovered the FF series and bought VII, and when it came out IX too. I became a Jrpg addict thanks to Parasite Eve, that's wh...
swapping discs become a big deal when you want to go back to certain point of the game and you just can't because you're stuck on the second, third or maybe fourth disc?
I still remember playing FF on the PSX and when you leave behind important items, summons or whatever that where, lets say, on the second disc and you were on the third you know that you're fuked because you can't go back to get them now. Man, that was so annoying... You couldn't explore all the world when you wh...

After playing the beta I just don't see how this game is any competition to MW2... Seriously, the 60fps of MW2 helps the game a lot. It not only makes the games look more realistic and immersive but it makes the gameplay very accurate. Thing that killed Killzone 2 for me and probably will do the same for the third, laggy gameplay.
Gameplay > Graphics.
Good luck with those 5 discs when trying to go back to certain places that were early on the game. Pray that Square makes something so you can swap discs in backwards when you wanna do some backtracking...
