Super Mario 64 on top of Super Mario Bros 3? SMB3 is not even in the top 20's nor is Super Metroid or Chrono Trigger? Most of the top 30 are recent games...

The same could be said about HHG and all the blogs that get approved in a daily basis around here. And to tell you the truth, the guy's stating some well made opinion... Very well explained too. Why are you people saying that he's a fanboy and blah blah blah when worse articles than this have been approved. Now all of a sudden you can't post youtube links nor approve garbage that gets approved everyday.
I already have a 120GB PS3 slim and a broken 60GB PS3 but I would had bought this one to replace my old dead model with BC! =(

These screen-shots have way too much detail to be an X360 game. This is easily on par with Crysis and beyond any PS3/X360 game including Heavy Rain...
My theory is
1. these are actually bull-shots
or
2. PC version at high settings
I don't know, for all the praise he has been giving through the entire review a 7 seems kinda low... He likes everything about the game except for the story. So the author deducted 3 points just because the story's bad?
Hey Waka, Alan Wake have been in development for many years now and it wasn't until recently that the game's sandbox aspect got scraped. Probably because of the space limitation that the DVD9 provides a sandbox style game wouldn't work.
The same could have happened with FFXIII. In many previews have been stated that FFX was linear but nowhere near at the same level as FFXIII. Every level in FFXIII is one long Hallway of Death; Wired said. At the end of every hallway there's alway...
Why MGS4 ran at 1024x768p has been explained multiple times and it wasn't because the PS3 couldn't handle it but because of the overscan.
Most PS3 games are 720p or 1080p but most of X360 games are below the 720p like Halo 3.

Do you people think that the game's progression was made through chapters because of the late decision of making an X360 port? Because this clearly erase the advantage of the game being on only one disc for the PS3... If the game was more like FFXII kind of open-world having it on multiple discs would have been an annoyance for the developers and players as well.

The difference here is that FFX(2001) is a 10 years old game while FFXIII is a 2010 game tittle.
FFXII a PS2 game, was linear too but not at the same extend and that's what many people liked about the game. But hated because the story focused too on the politics instead of the romance, fantasy elements or over the top drama. While FFXIII went backwards to make it more casual friendly with the fast paced turn-based with only one character at a time combat and mega linear levels. I...
- The in game graphics have been upgraded, so much so that there is no real difference between the CGI (prerendered video) and the graphics in game.
- This is a dark Final Fantasy as everyone expected (FFVII/VIII fans rejoice).

Man, you suck! I can easily do a time of 1:50 with the red 350z(you know, the un-tuned one)... I still haven't tried with the black 350z (tuned) though.
