I'm getting both as well. It's all about the mood I'm in. Sometimes I want a long drawn-out battle over a massive terrain. Sometimes I'm feeling extra competitive and wanting something a bit more 'fast paced.' Both games provide different types of entertainment.
I don't know how this interprets as anything.
As far as I see it, and I really don't care what console gets the game,
"It's definitely not out of the question," is just PR side-stepping because really, they don't know the answer yet.
Lemme know when the casual gamers start buying consoles... That's when the REAL numbers start rolling in. Pre-orders are only a fraction of the battle.
only one thing really stopping it:
Lots and lots of money from MS.
MMGN: Has the technology pushed you towards the multiplayer-focused ideal? We always hear about the “power of the cloud”, but I still think it gets lost in translation in going from Microsoft to the every day gamer.
Drew McCoy: Out of E3 we briefly said, “Yeah, we’re using the new cloud thing it’s going to be cool,” but no one knew what it was or what it does. We’re using it for stuff that other studio’s COULD use it for -- but basically what it boils down is, Microsoft has data...
Don't compare CoD to Battlefield. It just makes you look dumb.
They're entirely different games that only share surface value similarities.
Sony
Defense
Force
it's nothing but a pissing contest really. I mean, look at the great indies coming to PS4 that don't need that BS.
More than half the people that spout out about 60fps/1080p don't even know what that crap means, they just use it as some sort of battle cry.
egh, sounds like something a sleazy pornstar director would tell some poor naive teen.
lol. I love how people get offended by this.
Someone please thoroughly explain what's sooooo offensive about this.
awkward.
"People jump at the sight of the PS logo and defend it to extreme measures."
uuuuuhmmm....
lol. Pretty soon, the Battlefield series will be an annual release...
*GASP*
'blasphemy'
It's up to the developers.
F*cking duh. Why is this news and how is this bad?
They're promotional spots, not descriptive informationals.
lol. One guy states his opinion about the PS4 and everyone loses their damn heads.
Louise: Supposed to be sleeping, but I hear a scratching noise, so who knows.
Gene: Sounds like he's eating tonight's lasagna in bed. We'll have to wash his sheets tomorrow.
Tina: I hear thrashing and kissing sounds, so she's probably sleeping.
Short answer: yes.
Long answer: yes.
eh, I was hoping for something more 'in-game.'
- weapons swap
- grenade toss
Here's to come:
- New engine
- Same core dynamics that has been seen in other CoD games
They'll adjust to the competition, but they'll continue to cater to their consumers by keeping the game basically the same. Which, BTW, is not a bad thing (even though core gamers A.K.A. hipsters) would say otherwise. Why fix something that isn't broken? You wanna know who 'fixes' things that aren't broken? Capcom. Anybody remember the Survi...
They're not REAL dedicated servers. They're not straight P2P, but a variation of both:
