LOL How can you say the PS3's XMB is "cluttered"??? It's as simplistic as you can get. If anything, the Xbox Dashboard is the one that's cluttered...with advertisements.
OT, I'm glad Sony is giving the Vita's gamercards a little bit of a makeover. I'm sure the PS4 will have all the Vita's features and more.
The Ninty fans will get a 3DS and the PS fans will get a Vita. lol
The 3DS will appeal to small children and people on a budget, and those Mario and Zelda fans.
The Vita will appeal to anyone and everyone, but the price being a bit higher will turn some parents off. The Vita is moreso meant for a mature audience. However, it has the most potential for gamers since it has cross game chat, a party system, and cross platform gameplay (See Wipeout 2048). ...
It's not Sony's fault that battery technology hasn't caught up with processing technology. One of these days we might have a big leap in battery technology where we can stick a battery in a device and not have to replace it for months, but until then, Sony had to go with what was available and cost effective. I'm pretty sure Sony could have stuck a laptop battery in the thing and it last for 20+ hours, but then you all would be complaining about the thing weighing 5+ po...
Yeah, I'd bet Sony will stick with Free PSN. That's a huge selling point for a lot of people. Plus, Sony's games seem to get superior dedicated servers without them having to charge us a fee to play our games online. I think PS+ is genius and much more consumer-friendly. We actually receive CONTENT for our hard-earned $50. We get tons of games and discounts of games. Plus, we get cloud storage and automatic downloads. I think the PS4 will allow us to use cross g...
Yeah, it would have been nice had Sony let us re-use our Memory Stick Duo's but I see why they did what they did. Piracy pretty much killed the PSP here in the States and they didn't want a repeat.
Plus, I'm pretty sure third party peripheral makers will make cards for the Vita too and they'll be around $10 cheaper than Sony-branded ones.
I agree with you, but I don't think Sony will allow MS to get that year headstart again. I think they'll both end up releasing Holiday 2013.
Imagine the fanboy fights in the stores while people are in line for both. bahahaha There would be a lot of arrests. The news would have a field day with that. lol
I just hope they both come out around $399 for the cheap model. I know I'm not spending no $599 for the PS4 like I did the PS3. ...
Yeah the best option for online gaming on the go for the Vita is to tether a 4G LTE (if available, or 3G) smartphone to the Vita so you can play online no matter where you are.
I truly wish they'd offer a 3rd SKU for the Vita at $350 (retail price) and $99 (subsidized price) and have it be a cell phone too. Imagine how many people would pick this up over a smartphone if it could make phone calls as well.
Of course, I'm sure there will be ways to...
The closest thing to DLC on disc would be The Lost and Damned and Gay Tony DLC for GTA 4.
I can't wait for the Vita to come State side. It's gonna be pandemonium at Gamestop come February. haha
Yep this and Final Fantasy 8 are great PS1 games.
This is both a good thing and a bad thing. It's good they're giving devs. more flexibility, but I just hope certain things remain universal. Things like in-game music I would like to have the option to use that whenever I want on any game.
Well maybe someone should have directed MS to THIS amazon page when they were pricing THEIR harddrives for the 360:
http://www.amazon.com/Seaga...
Instead, they overpriced their harddrives too at around $99 or more. So, Sony is not the only company to ever do this.

The Vita is THE handheld to buy if you want the best of the best graphics, console-quality games, cross-platform gameplay, and the most flexible gameplay controls (touchpad, touch panel, 6 axis motion, etc. etc.).
I WILL be buying one day one and I've never done that before on any console/handheld. I've always waited but this thing is just wonderfully well thought out and is a very attractive piece of kit.
Care to explain, disagrees??
lol A bit melodramatic with the communist stuff, but still funny.
I agree that blue is the perfect color to associate with the PlayStation brand.
BTW, guys, I just bought Skyrim (PS3) and it's an amazing game.
Very true. I wish I could do the same on my MacBook Pro (i5 4GB 2011 version). That way, I could play all my games with my DualShock 3 and not the keyboard. Yeah, I'm sure there's gamepads out there that'll work for my MacBook Pro, but I don't want to have to buy something extra when the DS3 would work perfect.
Good read.
Agreed. I hope Versus 13 (PS3) fixes all that is wrong with the FF 13 series of games.
How often are you going to be playing longer than 4 hours straight on a handheld without some source of power to plug it up?? Most of the time there's a place to plug up nearby. And most of the time you won't be playing for 4 hours straight anyway. I know I don't. I play for maybe an hour at a time and then plug it back up until I play again.
Well, it just seems that ever since Sony released the PS3 (at an expensive $599 USD), everyone wants to hate on them because they're not the leader in total sales (even though they're poised to take 2nd place very soon). Who cares about sales though? I mean, really, as long as a console is putting out hot exclusives one right after another like the PS3 is, why do sales matter.
The Vita is doing well and it's getting a lot of software support. Sure, there mig...
LOL haha Yeah, some people just cannot be pleased. And of course, there's that whole "everyone hate on Sony" attitude we've seen the last few years. That doesn't help any.
The Vita is a wonderful handheld, and looks like it's gonna be supported far better than the PSP was/is.
lol I'm pretty sure Vita's far superior graphics and control methods make up for not having 3D support.
This battery life is much better than what they had led us to believe. Good work Sony. Can't wait to get my Vita!!
That's awesome. I would definitely play Mario again if they did this. A gritty, mature take on Mario could be a killer app for the Wii U. I'm not kidding.
