I would say it's a safe bet that both the PS4 and Xbox 720 (whatever it'll be called) will definitely have some type of App store on their respective stores. It just makes too much sense to not do it. They'll have plenty of RAM and power to run them.
I wouldn't mind being able to do some word processing or photo editing or video editing or photoshop-type stuff on my consoles. It would be great!

LOL Pretty much. Same game, different year. I go back and play CoD4 from time to time for two reasons: 1. it's still the best and most balanced. and 2. for nostalgic reasons.
I made the mistake of buying MW3 with misleading remarks that it was going to play like CoD4 did. lol That turned out to be flat out wrong.
Bring back the regular 3 Killstreaks from CoD4 with no other ones, and I might start playing the new ones again.
Hopefully there's at least 9 (at least) exclusives at launch. That's one of the most important things. Also, non-proprietary hard drives would be cool. And a $400 or less price tag and it'll do great!
Keep the price reasonable and bring new exclusive games (Not just Halo and Gears) and I'll get one.
Sadly, they won't do a "barebones" online multiplayer because they know they'd probably lose half or more of their Gold subscriptions because the main thing people care about is playing online multiplayer, not having access to Netflix and using a Youtube app.
If they allowed Silver members to play online multiplayer and do everything PSN does for free, I guarantee there would be a HUGE drop in Gold subscriptions.

For some reason, I can't get used to BF3. I've stopped playing it and MW3 altogether to keep playing Battlefield BC2. I like it better than either one of them, even though it came out a couple years back.

Just for anyone who doesn't know, though, ANY PS3 console can play PS1 disc games. It works on all PS3's. However, PS2 backward compatibility is limited to 60GB Full BC consoles and the 80GB software BC consoles.
I think the PS3/PC combo offers the best combination. There's only a few games you can't play with that combo, but it offers almost every other game.
No, what people get mad at is paying a third-party developer to make it exclusive or timed-exclusive. What they should be doing with that money is investing in their OWN games and their OWN first party studios.
Wasting money on timed exclusivity is not a good investment. Spending money on a good first party studio that can make games FOR the Xbox and make that new IP something that people will associate with MS and Xbox is what they should do.

I just hope the PlayStation 5 will BE the PSP3 and vice versa. What I mean by that is that I hope you can simply buy the PS5 and it have a screen and be portable, but then when you get home, you can just hook it up to the TV and sync your controllers to it via bluetooth/IR and play your games on the big screen. That would make life so much simpler.
I'll remain loyal to the one that actually invests in first party games and doesn't just rely on third party games. The fact is that there are some good third party games, but for a console to practically rely on those to supply its fans with games is not a good strategy.
I'll stick with Sony and the PS4 for sure, but if the Xbox 720 proves to have a slew of first party titles and is priced right and is actually reliable this time, I might just buy one of those ...
Yeah, I bought it for my MacBook Pro from Direct2Drive, but it's not as fun as playing with a DualShock.

And by price it right, I mean $299, or maybe $350. I won't pay $400 for a Wii U. But yeah, this is a cool concept for a new Mario and a way for Nintendo to grow the franchise with its fans.
I'd say it would just make sense for them to offer Blu Ray on their next gen console. If not, then they will at least use some other high capacity format like the Wii U is doing. However, I really hope they go with Blu Ray so that people can play their Blu Ray movies on their console. Yeah, sure, Netflix and Vudu are great, but they're not as good as Blu Ray.
