I think after RE2, they may go in the order of Resident Evil Revelations 3>Resident Evil 8> then maybe RE3 remake. At least, that's what I think if I look at their history of RE games.
So, were people expecting to run it at 1440p with everything maxed out? Sorry but that is some unreasonable expectations for PC. Most current gaming PCs can't run the more recent games at 4K with high settings at 60 fps, even 1440p.
You can't go in with a gaming PC thinking you can run everything at maxed with 4K resolution. Makes no sense whatsoever, and you gotta think 1440p is still more demanding then 1080p.

Personally I thought last year was much harder for me to find my GOTY. 2017 was one of the best gaming years in history for me. 2018 is great so far, but there aren't nearly as many notable GOTY contenders. Only a few with God of War, Monster Hunter World, possibly Red Dead Redemption 2 and Spider-Man PS4.

Yikes. Not gonna lie, but that bottom picture (new) looks pretty pathetic. Definitely looks downgraded compared to from 2017. Granted, bit may not be as noticeable if they are in motion but still, you can't deny that 2018 looks significantly worse than the 2017.

Personally, I think horror/survival games are actually better with a lower budget. We don't need crazy set pieces for these games. Instead use that money to refine the gameplay, music, writing, characters and atmosphere. Just give us some dark corridor and cramped confined spaces to fight enemies in. Well that is certainly disappointing. If at some point they decide to remove 20% off pre-orders in the future, then I won't be buying Prime as that will be the last straw for me. Best Buy's Gamer Club is going out in a few years, and with Amazon doing this, I just can't see myself spending alot of money on pre-orders.
