It would be wise for this developer to shut his mouth. There is alot of bad press already surrounding them, and this developer is adding more fuel to the fire. The move from Steam to Epic is a d*ck move, period.
This does look very fun. My only fear is that Bethesda will be the next to cave into the whole Epic Games Store exclusive crap for PC.
So why doesn't Sony and Microsoft (not sure about Nintendo) reduce their percentage cuts as I believe they also charge 30%. It would help the developers and maybe encourage better business practices, so shouldn't they do a lower percentage as well for the good of developers? Valve isn't the only guilty one here with high percentage cuts.
Difference is, those are first-party games. You don't see games like Red Dead Redemption 2 exclusive to PS4, or Anthem exclusive to Xbox do you?I bet you there would be just as much uproar if both Sony and Microsoft started buying these third-party exclusives last minute when it was not exclusive to begin with.
If Epic were funding these games from the very start to remain exclusive on the Epic Game Store, then I would be fine with that. But that isn't the case wit...
Rip Respawn Entertainment
I don't have a problem with exclusives if you made them in-house like Fortnite, Unreal Tournament, etc. But paying for 3rd-party games to stay on the Epic Games Store exclusively is the absolute wrong way to go about it. It's exactly like the Rise of the Tomb Raider all over again. Some big company gets a timed-deal to have their game only available on their store/platform for a certain amount of time (or permanently) when the game has been on other platforms in the past. They only do...
I feel like they are talking too much about this game.
So is this another game that is exclusive to the Epic Game Store for PC?
I think it went to $30 on Black Friday like a week after release. Pretty pathetic but hey, they bought it on themselves.
I don't think it will kill the series, but it will certainly move alot of people away from it.
The general idea sounds pretty interesting for RE8 and it could be a good continuation from 7 story-wise, and I do hope that it returns to 3rd person. Hopefully whoever we play as is a recurring character like Leon, Chris or Jill instead of a brand new one like Ethan.
The plan for releasing RE3 Remake before RE8 makes sense, and I do hope that is the case. RE3 uses alot of similar assets from RE2 so development could possibly go much faster. It's possible we can see RE...
Well I'm going to have to wait an entire year for Metro Exodus to hit steam, so I'll probably stick with Re2 instead.
It's really unfortunate because when Overkill's Walking Dead was first announced, I was so hyped for it. The CG trailers were extremely high quality and made me think this was going to be the first real good walking dead game with a high budget. Then when the actual gameplay was reveal, my heart just dropped. The gameplay was extremely rough and clunky. The AI was horrendous, utterly stupid/unfair and outdated. Not to mention it also seemed buggy/glitchy.
Even the ...
Damage has been done already. Deep Silver basically pulled a Rise of the Tomb Raider situation. By the time it does come to steam, alot of people aren't going to care about it anymore and will move to other newer titles. The hype and excitement will be gone. All I know is that when it does return to steam, it better be no more than $20.
Until then, I have no interest in buying this on the Epic Game Store. Deep Silver shot themselves in the foot and it's entirely on...
Why? I don't see any reasons why this game needs micro-transactions other than cosmetics but even then, I just see absolute no reason for it.
Both games are extremely well done. Personally I gotta give the edge to Resident Evil 2. It just does everything so perfectly and it truly feels like a horror/survival game. Having tight narrow hallways with zombies blocking your path being forced to take them down or stagger them to proceed. Also with Mr. X stomping around he constantly keeps you on your toes when around and it's so nerve wrecking.
I also personally love the atmosphere as it had this dark dreary feeli...
Wait, did they really add an update of Akumu mode to The Evil Within 2? I did not hear about this update at all.
EDIT: Holy sh*t, they really did add this as an update. I had no idea about it. I personally loved The Evil Within 2 and is severely underrated. It improved so much on the first game. I wished that Akumu Mode was added from the start when the game first launched, because personally I found Akumu mode a more interesting experience then Classic Mode on The Evil Wi...
So let me get this straight. IGN gives Alien: Blackout, which is a mobile game that nobody wanted a score of 6.3/10, and they give Alien Isolation a 5.9/10 score (a game where we want a sequel that was praised from several gamers).
IGN has lost all credibility for me at this point.
It really is, hell I'd go as far to say that this is probably my favorite Resident Evil game as of now. It truly is a masterpiece.
Not at all. Honestly as I get older, I find myself playing less games that are 30+ hours long. It's just too much when we have responsibilities and all the other games that releases and whatever other entertainment we enjoy. Our backlog is another thing too that is always a thing. I enjoy open-world games, but I only buy 1-2 new open world games each year just because they tend to be massive and somewhat overwhelming if you're an OCD completionist.
Look at Resident...
