If you think MS is just going to give up a billion dollars a year then you're not really thinking things through. Apparently, people are willing to pay Live and MS knows this so they will continue to charge. I won't hold out for MS to announce free online play as long as people keep opening up their wallets.

People it's not that hard to figure out. 3rd party games don't sell that well on Nintendo home consoles and that's why companies choose not to release games on the their systems. It's called Return on Investment. If Nintendo users start buying more 3rd party games then things will change.

All companies should do this. I remember how we bailed out companies here and people were still getting bonuses even though the company was struggling. It's bullshit and kudos for Sony for doing this. Why should you be rewarded for poor performance?

Why are people complaining about a game that is half price and including a free PSN game. Plus this only came out a little over a month ago. Proof that people will complain about anything now days. Wow....

I think everything that is free now should remain free and include cross game chat and invites. Everything else will require a fee. If people complain or think otherwise, then they are delusional because these services cost money. Everything can't be free. I'm willing to pay the services to keep them going especially if it's part of PS+ then it's a wrap.
Exactly what I was thinking. For every generation, this is the MAIN factor that developers complain about for consoles. They want more memory. This is a fact. Now that these companies are giving them this, now it's a problem. You can't win in today's world. No matter what you do, somebody will turn a positive into a negative. Thank you sir for some common sense. Plus, the chips in the PS4 are not just some chips that you can order off of the net or buy at Best Buy. The chips may be based of this or that but the also have some custom features built into them with Sony's secret sauce. The same will go with the Nextbox.
