This is not the Switch. The Switch has physical media. You don't have to pay a subscription service along with paying full price of games you don't own and can't play without the Internet. The Switch also has its own 1st party software to entice people to buy the hardware. They are a proven company with experience in the game.

Yes and in most cases, if the game isn't online only, I can play it offline. I thought it was nice to have options. If we go all digital, we lose options and control.

One thing I don't believe though is when they said that they don't want it to be all subscription based with no way of purchasing the game. That part I don't believe.
