Like most of you, I'm not buying this rumor.
With a username like that, that's a highly doubtful comment.

Have fun.
I'm with you on that one.
Totally wrong. MK3 was very broken. Characters that weren't able to juggle (see Sub-Zero) were pretty useless. Just because the later games had silly looking combos, doesn't mean it was good. They were just as broken. Maybe I should PM you some links to MK video combos, just to prove how broken the engine is. :-/
Yes, I can compare VF and SC to MK. Virtua Figher features hand-to-hand combat, just like MK. Soul Calibur features weapon combat, just like MK.
Tekken, Soul Calibur, Dead or Alive, Virtua Fighter 5, need I say more? If there's anyone here who should get "bent", it's you.
Mortal Kombat just isn't a solid fighter. Period. Any true fighting fan with half a brain would know this. It's fun, but not solid.
The first Halo game was a new IP, and it sold damn well and it had exceptionally high scores (94%+), which Resistance doesn't come close. Besides, the websites I mentioned are two major gaming sites that most users prefer.
And NO, I haven't played Resistance. I don't own a PS3 yet because it's still too expensive and there are hardly any games that justify the price tag. Not to mention, Sony just announced it's DualShock 3 controller. Since I'm the smart consumer, I rather wait...
Project Gotham has always been an arcade racer. I really don't know what you're talking about. Obviously you've never owned an Xbox in your life.
Mortal Kombat is garbage compared to the top tier fighters of today, really. Unless Ed Boon and his team can compensate, I don't see this franchise going anywhere. Aside from that point, it wouldn't make much sense making a VS series with Mortal Kombat. Like some of you said, if there's no fatalities, it's just not "Mortal Kombat".

EDIT: Whoever disagreed (and to those who shall follow) should really explain themselves and prove me wrong.
Why bother? Especially if you can upgrade the HDD yourself.
Nice score, but I don't trust OXM. Considering it's an Xbox magazine, it should make you think twice.
I rather just wait for IGN & GameSpot's reviews. Those two are always my personal deciding factor.
Consider the source of your information: 1UP.
If Resistance is such a good game, how come most of us don't own a PS3? If it was THAT great, we'd pony up the cash for it, right? Besides, IGN gave it a 9.1 and GameSpot gave it an 8.6. So that's really not convincing, sorry.
I don't see how it could be done for the Wii. The game runs on the Unreal Engine 3 technology. Unless developers severely dumb it down.
Impressive.
Just like the first Killzone (Halo Killer), right?
Keep trolling, kid.
No one talked about Haze to begin. Why? Because it's unproven. Just like no one talked about the first Halo. And UTIII is a timed exclusive. Xbox 360 version hits Q1 2008. Relax, dork.
Hahaha.
I never fell for this garbage and never will. I work too hard for my money just so I can spend it anyhow. I just some of you see my way someday.
I'll stick with the PS3 & Xbox 360.
