I admit I haven't played the game, but I'm not saying the multiplayer is bad. I love the AC franchise, I was looking forward to what the new setting would be, and then they came with Brotherhood, same setting, same guy and multiplayer. That disappointed me.
I think I have a different view on milking then you. Straying away from the numbered titles to one with a tag line making it basically not part 3 but part 2,5. For me that is milking it.

I think they mean "Milking Possibilities" instead of making AC3 they went with brotherhood, giving the game a needless multiplayer, the franchise would have been perfect if it had 3 subsequent games played in 3 different settings.
Oprah could just put a plate of shit on the table and the crowd would still cheer, but still very smart advertising of Microsoft, they really know how to get to the target audience.
