Lol. The new "overall" rating system at GI is a mathematical average of sub-scores. It's a bit more accurate than just a single arbitrary number based on opinion. Luckily, they explain here:

Agreed - or at least, they need to do both in a better way. I think maybe opening themselves up to more of an indie market could also help in some capacity.
