He stated that because we utilize wordpress as a content management system, that is proof enough that the site is a blog. I've already contacted an administrator regarding the issue and sent in proof of our legitimacy.

Great writeup I want to see more installments of everything listed!

From the disagreements on my comment, I can only assume that either some users prefer to be lead by fear/hate-mongering, or (more likely) media publishers would prefer I didn't bring attention to their generally unethical practices.

We'll settle for just bookmarking us :) That's all the support we can ask. (Also, as a fellow linux user, nice profile pic :P )

Thanks for the kind words. I think my last article may have been misunderstood in its intentions, so I wanted to make sure I cleared the air with giving my opinion of the ordeal as a whole. Gaming Irresponsibly isn't just trolling for hits - it's one of the few websites that really struggle only to bring out "good news" type pieces. There are a few bad reviews for bad games, and a few complaint pieces where and author gives their opinion, but if you search the site, you&#...

For the repeated question of "Forgive them for what?", I don't refer to the hack itself - that could have happened to anyone. What I am referring to is your personal information being left in lax security while only credit information was encrypted.

"In a way, it is bigger than it looks," says Jon Heimerl, director of strategic security for Solutionary. "When they start getting passwords, security questions, addresses and the other types of infor...

Seriously, you'll blacklist a website for a single opinion of a single author? I find it hard to believe you'll be able to browse at all without running across opinions you disagree with.

It's your choice to make, of course. As a co-founder of the site, I won't argue your choice. All I will say is that when you change your mind, we'll be glad to have you back. Keep in mind, we didn't charge you or force you to click past popover ads - all we did is...

I think it's just marketing. Maybe FPS games are easier to make when looking at profit/loss.

To be fair, it was a list of complaints, not a list of suggestions.

Though I see your point.

For those of you who don't like to read lengthy articles, some of the major reveals are also included in the "10 things we know about Bastion" article, found on the right sidebar.

That was strange. I tested it, it worked, and then it didn't. Re-pasted the same link and now it works again. It was adding n4g code to the end of the actual link, so it may have been an n4g-related glitch.

They all have the one thing in common: They are attempts to drive traffic to a website. I can't fault the site owners, and I understand that the text is different in each opinion piece, but all in all, they're the same story. The situation sucks, and we're all waiting for it to end so that everything can go back tithe way it was before.
