I'm pretty sure it won't be 20 new AAA exclusives anounced, those 20 experiences probably are:
-4 or 5 new exclusives for the PS3
-4 or 5 new exclusives for the PSV
-gameplay and release for The Last of US
-hands on and release date for The Last Guardian
-maybe info/footage of Agent and FFV13
-full reveals wth gameplay for LBP karting, GOW ascencion, Battle Royale (let's call it that)

Sony did the same things two years ago when they revealed Motorstorm 3, LBP 2 and another game that I can't remember in the weeks before E3
it's just so each game will get the proper attention and not get lost among all the E3 stuff

it's weird that the IGN article doesn't mention a Prepare to Die console retail edition for US:
"Special retail versions of the Prepare to Die Edition will be available in Europe and Australia on August 24 for the PC version, and later this winter for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3."
