The Last of US is the BEST game I have EVER played in my ENTIRE LIFE!

I wasn't speaking about the PC my comments were in reference to console games. Of course their are better 1st person shooters on the PC I am not naive enough to write that. But on consoles those two games started a wave of popularity and others have tried to mimic what halo and COD did.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare no one can deny was a turning point in the first person shooter genre. It definitely redefined the genre just like Halo did. But I feel like after Modern Warfare 2 it just went down hill. Even though it was still popular I felt it was just a rehashing of the title every year and I felt like we were spending our 65 bucks on tweaked version of the its previous title. I also felt like the online aspect of the game was terribly unbalanced with folks taking advantage of...

This was a well though out article, he hit it on the dime and to make a long story short...KISS (Keep it simple Stupid) All this hopla with the Xbox one and M$ has had to do 180 after 180 because it does what it does with everything it tries to sell, force you to upgrade and force you to work on new things that they them selves have not properly informed the masses about. These five points can be applied to any company trying to release a product to the masses. M$ learned a hard lesson with t...

I understand you point, but with guitar hero and rock band they were milked so bad they people just are disgusted by it now and wont even pay it any mind at all. Isn't their a smart and dumb way to do things?? To me it shows the level of incompetence on a developer/publisher to do things the way they did with Guitar Hero and Rock Band...they killed a really good franchise because of getting to greedy, the same is true with Madden and it will happen with COD. These folks think too short te...

couldn't have said it better my self. Preach!

This an excellent question, to me I feel that a franchise is milked when the original story has been through its beginning, middle and end and developers (mainly publishers) get greedy and just want to make money and and utilize the connection gamers have to the franchise and put out more iterations. I am talking about the "inbetweenies" A part of the story that is really irrelevant because it was explained already but the potential of how much money could be made is so enticing. So...

I think it sold 3.2 million copies....that is a lot of people playing the game. What did square expect?? Also if they wanted it to sell more they should not have made it the way they did. This companies upsets me more and more now.

This is from the father of Resident Evil, a franchise that I have loved for many many years, but a franchise that has also lost its flavor in my opinion (Resident Evil 4 is a classic....5 and 6 were so so) So the Evil Within for what I am seeing looks to be like it will be on par with the Original Silent Hill (scariest game I have EVER played). I am going to buy this game, I will give the father of Resident Evil the benefit of the doubt every time. Looking for to this game.

I didn't play this game because I was told by other gamers about how intensely bug laden the game was. As far as I am concerned ever since we have moved over to the high def gaming with the PS3/Xbox developers have gotten lazy with the programing. They rely so much of the fact that these new consoles have the ability to apply patches that these developers do not do much testing because they can always send a patch to fix it up. To me that is disgusting and unprofessional to the highest de...

I bought the game as I am a BIG TIME fan of the franchise. Although this game was cool it was just too dam linear for me. The game literally told you where to go and where everything was, tomb raider was always open world and was always about exploring. They made this game too easy and just didn't fall in line with how tomb raider should be. I never got lost, frustrated or confused as to where to go. Tomb Raiders in the past you might need that guide as some areas of the game were just so...

When will Hollywood realize that we gamers do not purchase these games that coincide with the release of its respective movie. They are rushed and insult our intelligence as gamers. The last good one for me was the Matrix the first one, after that the others that I have played were clearly trash in my opinion. In conclusion....NO THANKS!!!

I know quite a few folks that do this as well, technically if this is all that they do and is the only kind of game or games they play then it would just make more financial sense to get a gamefly account and rent those games. But remember a lot of gamers are not a rational in this sense. This concept is alien to them and wont give it a moments thought to consider. Hence why Madden can be sold EVERY SINGLE YEAR for 60 bucks.

When it comes to sports games first iteration on the new consoles you NEVER purchase those because the developer (in this case EA) hasn't gotten accustom to the console and what it can do. You should wait another year or two then maybe you consider getting it, until then rent it. But I also believe that purchasing sports games year after year at the $60 price tag is asinine. Meh what do I know right??

I certainly understand where he is coming from. I purchased my PS3 eight months after its initial release because I am under the impression that the first wave of consoles always seem to have hardware bugs in them, so I hold off until the following summer of its release and purchase it. But I do not agree with him in regards to him waiting five years to purchase a PS3 and having an abundance of games to play. While I agree that having access to an abundance of games is certainly true, I do no...

Now this is how you go about listening to your audience. You get a suggestion you take it back to the round table of guys/gals and assess if this suggestion should be strongly considered and what are the pros and cons of this suggestions. THEN you make a FINAL decision and move on. Bravo SONY this is how all companies should work.
