Seems like a fair review, I thought it was gonna be terrible like the Hatsune Miku review I read over at USGamer. But this was done by an actual fan of the series, who appreciates it's humour and Japanese vibes.
I like this blog. I miss the days when companies had no means of patching and fixing their games. Instead, they just made sure they actually worked until they shipped them out.
I'd advise cancelling that pre-order of Battlefield 4, at least wait until like a week after release to see what the general view of it is. Having been in the Battlefield 4 beta I can definitely say DICE have a lot of work to do to get that game up to scratch. And considering Battlefield 3 still ha...
iamsuperman has obviously rustled some jimmies lol
What a catchy title
I'm totally catching a Phantump
I really wanna play this game, I don't even care about the robots. I just wanna hop around for a bit
Are you playing on PC? I'm playing on PS3 and at times the level just turns into a ghost town and completely winds down. I assumed it would be more frantic on PC
They talk about putting their games on Vita in the article. Basically they realise Japan like handhelds and most people who buy these games in the west play them on PS3's so putting them on PS3 first and then Vita later is a way for everyone to play them.
You're right about the dumbing down thing though, I haven't picked up Disgaea D2 yet so I don't know about the streamlining and Improvements.
I'm really looking forward to The Witch and t...
The games really not as complex as people make out, it's a deep game, but it's not overly hard to understand.
Annoys me when people complain about "steep learning curves" It's like for gods sake just spend half an hour with the game and you'll understand how it works.
Disgaea 4 was the first in the series I played. I picked it up easy enough and anyone with a slight bit of patience and general understanding of the genre will too.
Its okay. I had more fun with the Battlefield 3 beta though
The Battlefield 3 beta had a cool level that took you from a massive outdoor park full of colour to a cool underground metro and back outside again at the other side.
Battlefield 4's map is just a big grey "U" shape with a scripted skyscraper falling down which actually looks awful when it hits the floor. I do enjoy going up and down the lifts though
You guys should pick up Black or White, they're great games.
Diamond and Pearl you can probably miss out on, but maybe give Black and White a try on your 3DS'
US Gamer uses 3.5/5
It has no effect!
Super effective
Soldiers bouncing and boats falling from the sky...DICE really have some work to do.
Speaking of PS+ I have a code for a free 2 week trial if anyone wants it?
PS. Killzone looks awesome.
I haven't seen a "Nintendo is doooooooooooomed!" article in ages but okay...
This is cool and all, but hasn't this been posted about 3 times before?
It does though. Battlefield 3 had a beta and came out with tons of issues (Mav elevators, OP guns, squad matchmaking problems). BF4 is less than a month away, I feel It may launch with a few issues again. There are still BF3 bugs to this day.
Im a bit disappointed tbh. Never thought Froakie would end up having the best evo. Fennekin is a massive wasted opportunity (no wolf) and Im not a fan of Chespins at all. Oh well.
16 10 star quests? Awesome! bring it on!
