you make it sound like what they are doing is good. Msoft wants to suck every dime out of the halo franchise with halo xbox and sony is trying to maximize their profits/minimize their losses. Companies do wat they gotta do to make that money. Bring on the 40Gb bring on the 80OGB, bring on the 120 let them bring out whatever they want same for microsoft. If i as the consumer see the 40GB as more appealing i will pick it up its that simple especially when i know i can easily swap hard drives

we will know when we see July sales figures. But regardless this price drop has been excellent for sony. They solve a lot of their problems. They stimulate demand before the heavy software start to roll in thus ensuring significant success for games like lair and heavenly sword. 3rd party support also increases automatically and maybe they can start to snatch up msoft exclusives too. Would also be nice to see more 3rd party devs squeezing power out of the ps3 instead of jst the 1st party devs...
I don't see how the cover system is like GOW, Maybe cause of blind fire but their cover system remains in 1st person view. Regardless this looks like it will be a great game i am still buggin over the blood effects. I am glad they are adding the cover system it makes the game more difficult and more tactical. Instead of just dashin out and shooting down enemies
well i don't know what movies you are watchin but i do know at a time HD-DVD movies had better quality than Blu ray because of the encoding methods but as of now i do know most blu ray movies come out with the same quality. Regardless HD-DVD has better quality, they lack strong studio support. As long as disney, sony and fox are exclusive on blu ray they can never make it. Universal hasnt released a movie in ages that makes me yearn to watch in hi def anyway. So blu ray camp is far more comfy...

hope you are jokin and arent seriously giving pc gaming a 10/10 when there are tons of games out on pc that would murder any console title. I don't want to mention crysis since its not out but trust me gears of war is not going to be the best game 2 hit pc's. It won't even come close

scratched ma gears of war cd once but i think it only scratches cd's when upright or sumthin cus i started laying it flat and no more scratchin. But by then ma gears cd was scratched to the point where the xbox read it as a movie dvd and refused to play giving error msg please place in an xbox 360.
i completely agree. This is a HUGE selling point for me. I would never have had as much fun playing the beta if my friends couldnt play with me.

Common man don't be such a fanboy. Surely you can see hd-dvd cannot win this war. The best they can hope for is to peacefully co exist with blu ray. They can slash their prices all they wont but they will be losing far too much money and not that many ppl are buyin hi def devices to warrant a profit in hd-dvd movie sales. A 99 dollar price cut would be suicide for them because they will jst end up with many sold hd-dvd titles and little movie sales. HD-DVD have been dropping their prices like...
why do i always hear sony outsold 6-1 4-1 why dosent anyone ever compare msoft which is being oustold by like 20-1 in Japan. Sony is off to a good start wii is just off to a great start. I mean sony may be losing business in Japan but MSoft has NO business in Japan. 2000 consoles a week common. And 33% of that 2000 is gonna fail????
the graphics are good but how is the gameplay. I am not really sold on motion sensor being more intuitive but if any game can do it, it will be this one. I really really want lair to do well with all its visuals and all it would be a real shame to not see success. Plus we havnt had any killer first party apps for a while

Sony can go as low as they want on the hard drive and just advertise you can basically change this out. This is pretty good selling point for the ps3 since 360 hard drive is limited to 20Gb or 120Gb but for ps3 you can basically buy whatever you want and essentially its cheaper than the 120GB
I agree they need to get back to work on shenmue. Nice to know ps3 has another exclusive though. Lets see if microsft can snatch this out of sony's hands once again
