They are not failing... 1 year ago they had 0 of them in the market.. now they have a lot more.. I have a zune... and I am happy with it.. I don't even use my Ipod anymore... For their first atempt this game is probably the most immersive rpg game ever made... try naming another game that does this much... that let you feel as if you are actually in control of events... This game have little gliches... but nothing that makes this game separate from the crow... The build a strong base for this game.. and it will simply continue to get stronger... with patches, DLC... and future iterations... what do you think Mass Effect 2 will be like? BIGBAER is right.. what do you expect from a company that makes all the development tools... they make the framework, directx, the development environment (visual studio), the OS, etc... Microsoft has and will always have the advantage over Nintendo and Sony when it comes to this... because they don't rely on other companies to do their SDKs... Sony does.. they have to pay independant outside companies to built these things for them... who may not be familiar with other SDK or the hardware.. ...
Threading is a lightweight process. With the help of threads we can increase the response time of the game.
I've writen some simply multithreaded and is a pain in the @$$... which is why most developers avoid it like the plaque.

I'm not saying that the PS3 is not doing very well.. but simply.. that it's relative to they amount of units they had in stock. So, unless you have information that Best buy had 5,000,000 PS3 instead of just 10 it does not mean anything.
wow.. that's a lot of faith in 1 game.. a game that's not even near the top selling xbox 360 games.. or even cross platforms games like COD4. No need for damanage control there... 1 game can't win a console war. If the playstation beat the xbox 360 in terms of sales.. I don't think that's the primary purpose of the XNA framework. The XNA framework is an education tool that educational institutions can use to teach game design/development. Also, a tool that allows programmers interested in making game an easier approuch into it. I like the fact that microsoft is working hard on the XNA framework. This IP will work like DirectX... I can't wait to see what kind of features the XNA will have by the time the xbox 3 comes out.
Playstation fans love to hear when a game is better on the PS3... a very dirty tatic by developer when they want to get people to buy their game. Sadly Playstation fans will have wipeout and this will not work. This game sucks! better does not translate to a good game.
