Honesly, I can care less if blu-ray or HD DVD wins... I dislike both... Digital distribution is the future... almost 2008 and we still talking about a technology about spining discs, moving parts... just another iteration of the LP... bahh...
Why I prefer HD DVD? Because it making a whole on Sony's pockets... because is making them burn money, is prolonging the format war... without HD DVD blu-ray would have being adopted... mmmm... is like seing someone you don't like fighting...

Sony - Mission accomplished! That report they released yesterday saying that the PS3 boost sells by "nearly 300%" did the trick.
Interesting enough... Microsoft tried to innovate so much and pack the original xbox with so much technology and horse power compared to the PS2... and how far did that take them? Billions of dollards in the reds and developers nor the people cared....
Now look at Sony 1 year later? and they are in a distant 3rd having to drop the price of the PS3 2 times in less than 6 months... they push innovation so much that created a box that even developers are having a hard time making ...
I think what really pissed most people off about vista is the hardware it requires to run... most people don't like to be told they have to upgrade their hardware... I know people trying to install vista on old hardware.. ignoring the recommended specs...
I think PC owners tend to be this way... on MAC it's common knowledge that you just don't add a new OS for old hardware... the OS will not even install...

I believe that the ps3 sould that amount... maybe... it's holiday season... duhh... every console sells like crazy during this time of the year... How well Sony does is relative to how well the wii and the xbox 360 do... if Microsoft and Nintendo were able to sell 3-5 times the amount of consoles Sony is selling... they the PS3 is on they same boat or even worst... What Sony needs to do is NOT sell more consoles in relationship to itself... but to sell more consoles than Microsoft and Nintend...

I can tell you by personal experience why this feature is useful.

HD DVD is being able to mainstain the marketshare regarless of blu-ray camp effords of giving free movies and bundling movies with the PS3... if blu-ray would have won the console war shouldn't be alreqady 50:1 or more? 2:1 is hardly winning... should be concider the PS3 dead because the xbox 360 is selling software at a ratio of 10:1?

I used my Ipod before and it worked on my xbox 360... now... if MAC screwed that up.. then it's no longer microsoft fault.. let MAC fix it themselves... if it was working before and got messup after an ipod firmware update.. then is MAC fault..

I love this game... and don't mind the buckets... but they need to dumb down this game... or at least allow the blood to be turned off... if not every stupid politician will go against the gaming industry... will Japan even buy this game? I'm sure this game would be banned in many countries.

Anyways.. I think it was smart that Epic will didn't make this game an exclusive for the PS3 as they previously planned to. But they are still making a mistake... hopefully Sony paid them a lot of money for the timed exclusibity... they will no longer sell as many copies as they would if they would release the xbox 360 version at the same time....
People shouldn't get too excited about [Sony] press conference... Wait until the numbers are out... Companies can play a lot with %... I just hope others companies don't start duing the same... the last thing we need is each one of them telling us how much % they are selling us.. without us having any idea to their references or the numbers..
