Baccra, while I'm from the same day as you, I believe the subscription model can work as long as the end game is there. Unfortunately in the history of mmos there have only been three games to understand that, but all have been well worth the monthly sub. Those games would be UO, Eve Online and Dark Age of Camelot. In fact after all these years Im still paying happily for Uo. Seige Perilous 4 Life.

As someone who loves RPG's and NBA games, I have to say it's a terrible excuse for an rpg. Like twelve lines of dialogue to repeat the entire game. After a few seasons you barely want to go into the talking modes because of the unavoidable responses.
Great game for everything else though. I just wish they would change the stale mode they'd had for the last 3-4 years.
