If you want an android console just get a android tablet with hdmi out and a ps3 or xbox pad, done and you have a tablet on the go too. Bargin.
Maybe that it'll have an original idea in the game and not just rip off mario kart 7.
Even better tho exclusive to some new sega hardware, that'd be nice.
I remember super mario 64 going for around £70, so if anything i think games are getting cheaper and in some cases you get alot more for your money (not often though).
I try to be wiser with my purchases now, so unless i really want a game ill hold off and buy it when it drops in price. Any online gaming i do on the ps3 so i dont have to pay for live too and i rarely buy dlc unless it adds something significant to the game.
At the moment i really couldnt care what they did with it as im still happy with the current crop of systems. The games are still great, the online is good and the extras like netflix & iplayer all run well.
The only thing i would change is to add an onlive style system to games on demand, so you dont have to wait for them to download and then the system would download the game while the system is idle. Would be a good system for demos too.
The funny thing is that it'll prob take more bandwith to play for a few minutes than it would to download a bunch of genesis roms.
I had all 3 the previous gen, I have all 3 this gen and ill have most likely have all 3 next gen. Though after the wii and looking at the wii u so far i doubt ill get one...till i fold and get weak.
I have both too (and a wii), there are always cheaper options to have both, pre-owned and special offers. I for example got my playstation 3 for FREE when i got a new phone contract afew years ago so shiny new phone and a ps3 pretty good deal and for my second controller i bought a pre-owned six axis for about £15 instead of £40 for a new dualshock actually all my second pads this gen are pre-owned.
I guess if they put one in the would have less titles to throw in the next collection, but just two games is abit of a piss take they could easily have put more games on it.
If i was running the show i think id do two collections.
The first would have silent hill 1 & 2, origins, shattered memories and the first movie in hd.
The second would have 3, 4:the room, Home coming & silent hill: the arcade (move & kinect enabled) and the s...
The atari jaguars pad should have been number 1, full numeric keypad ftw, hell the pro pad had even more buttons :o)
The little card things you got for sticking over the buttons where pretty cool, for like alien vs predator though.
I think its impossible to argue that console gaming is dying out since the ps3 & 360 are having their best sales to date and the wii while not doing as well as it has still makes a killing every month and the number of games being sold is hardly drying up too.
As a console gamer who grew up playing things like doom on the snes, quake and duke nukem on the saturn. I think the ps3 graphics look fab as they are and frankly i couldnt care if they where rendered at an even lower resolution.
When dealing with a game that looks as good as it does (and hell the pc version looks even better) I dont think we should be complaining about the graphics. I just hope its fun to play.
Fixing all the games faults would be a nice bit of dlc to start with.
forgot about kudo, its hardly as popular as little big planet but minecraft is.
I think part of the angle is just so MS can have their own little big planet, without any of the effort of course.
The Wii U could be more powerful than the 360/ps3 but how much will that matter since the console is going to be rendering two different images at once (tv and the controller) the majority of the time.
Somethings like having a 2d image of an inventory in zelda on the controllers screen wont take much of a hit but if its doing high quality 3d graphics on them both then thatd have to take a hit on the graphics out put.
This thing has been seen many times before, its merely a case (well one would hope) of them not taking stickers of the security boxs from other software that may require an install thats abit tricky.
Im more than happy with the games on offer, as I only own the one. I think ill take infamous and wipeout, thanks sony.
But im not going around parading it as fact, its just a my list of the ones ive got the most enjoyment out of it. The saturn has loads of great sega arcade games on it which i love.
So which nintendo system would that be the N64 or the Gamecube as both are on the list.
worst list ever. My personal top ten would be
10, Mega drive
9, Jaguar (i had alot of fun with alien vs predator, doom etc on it)
8, Gamecube
7, Xbox
6, N64
5, Playstation 2
4, Dreamcast
3, Saturn
2, Ps3
1, Xbox 360
Firstly you can go out and buy one tomorrow or better yet on amazon right now and have the same experience.
So far all they have shown off is games that are already on the android market and the likely hood of developers making games exclusive for it is soo small considering it will have a tiny market share and plently of android games already support game pads, so it doesnt take a genius to work out that the mass majority of games will just be thrown on it.
