Deadly Premonition came out for $20 brand new and was well worth that price. If you can get past the PS2 graphics and generic gameplay plus the terrible driving parts of the game you get to enjoy a good story, great atmosphere, and excellent music. Minus a point for the graphics and another for the gameplay still easily 8 out of 10. I personally give it well over 9 out of 10 because it's one of those games that you'll never forget.
Also Crackdown was one of the first...
Deadly Premonition a truly **** up game. After the first 15 or so minutes of the game you get to explore the town in an open world type way. Gameplay is in third person and you shoot zombie like people. I loved the music and the atmosphere. One of the creepiest games I've played in my entire life.
Currently sits at #1 on my all-time games list followed closely by Half-Life 2. Spent so many months playing KOTOR enjoyed ever single minute.
"The Warriors" = must have!
I like the idea of not having to visit Gamestop I'd rather not be hassled with the inevitable question of a preorder usually the first thing they ask me. Maybe cause I've preorderd a couple games before. Then they try and get me to buy used, even when I tell them I want it new. Then sometimes they have no new copies of a game I want, but always plenty of used ones. Not fond of the experience at all. I usually go in knowing what I want so their job is to give me what I want quick and e...
When are they going to cut the price of games to $40 like at the end of last gen are we there yet? I highly doubt it will happen cause its all about the money this gen.
Most gamers are tied down playing COD and Skyrim and will be for sometime myself included. That my very well be the reason for the decline in sales. Also there really hasn't been any must have titles this year besides maybe Max Payne 3 and Ghost Recon other than those two nothing worth $60. Even those two...
I've personally bought:
NBA 2K12 - $40
The Walking Dead in Full - $20
Dead Island - $20
Red Dead Redemption Digital - $15
Prince of Persia: TFS - $5
Rockstar Table Tennis - $5
All within the past 2 months.
Catch is I don't buy many $60 games anymore, cause besides the very few big name releases most get discounts soon after release. On top of that I already have a huge backlog of games to play and replay.
Whats so wrong with COD other than it dominating millions of gamers time and those same people spend less on other games. if you liked to play Goldeneye or Perfect Dark split-screen with your friends on the N64, then you more than likely love playing COD online with a bunch of your buddies. Just saying it's not all COD's fault. Prototype was an average game and Prototype 2 was an above average game. If I remember correctly both sold fairly well, so I'm not sure why they got shut ...
As a ps plus member you get to keep games you spend money on. If you get something for free it's only a rental once your plus is up you either lose those games or pay up for more plus.
The only reason I went with the 360 way back in 2007 was because Halo 3 and Bioshock were coming out for it. I'm pretty satisfied with the amount of good quality titles this gen. If you compare the titles to last gen, we've been spoiled with new IP's. Gears, Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, Portal, Left 4 Dead, Fallout 3, Bioshock, Uncharted, and countless others. Sony has way more dev studios under their belt and it shows. Like they say some of the most talented game makers wor...
A HD collection with GTA III, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas. Also an HD version of "The Warriors" is available and comes free if you preorder!
I believe gamers aren't as much suckers as they were in the past and that with the fact that more and more people have the internet for things like metacritic reviews and youtube gameplay videos, we've been suckered plenty of times with trailers and the like. Now we do tons of research before putting hard earned cash down on any title. Unless of course that title happens to be Call of Duty. THQ is going to have to show that they can still compete. Here's something make great games...
I think the point is, Sony has new IP's in the works. Even though their top game is the same as M$. So Sony is actually creating something special unlike M$ who just has Halo, Gears, and early DLC. Which is paid for by the people who pay for Xbox Live. So if that's paid for by us then what does M$ actually invest in? Apparently not new IP's like Sony.
Since when did M$ have any other games besides the usual. (Halo, Gears, Forza, Fable). Those games most of which can all be played on a PC. It's no secret that Sony has more studios creating "Core" games than those four titles which come out almost every year in some form. I struggled to get through the last Gears game and couldn't wait until it was finally over. If it wasn't for the Xbox Live community M$ would be dead to me. I'm only willing to pay $1 a month on Xb...
I wonder when EA plans on shutting down the BF3 servers? Better not be for at least 5 more years, but I doubt it. I predict they'll go down in a couple years maybe three. Really as long as there are a few hundred people playing no servers should ever go down. BF3 with no MP and an average campaign for $110 money well spent. Suckers!
So let me get this right for those of us who preordered the game and got BTK for free were saving $10. For whoever didn't their saving $25. So the people who failed to support the game at launch and could have just picked up the game yesterday get more savings than those that did. $60 at launch and $50 a half year later is $110 on one game. I'm not made of money and I have other games to spend my hard earned cash on. Most of which don't cost me $110. A year from now they'll pa...
Most of the games they showed didn't even look current-gen let alone next-gen. Then all the kids titles and casual games, yet they kept saying that it was all about the games. To bad they forgot how to make interesting "Core" titles, with all their focus on their casual customers. Good their getting some third party support now. What happens when the new systems come out and publisher start focusing on next-gen hardware yet Nintendo is still using old specs. Nintendo might just ...
Morrowind was good if you realize that your going to suck at at the beginning and not be able to hit anything at all with your weapons at first. Just keep swinging at the bad guys and eventually you'll see all your hard work pay off when all the sudden your connecting left and right. The most impressive world and game for its time. How could you give up on a true gem after only five minutes was it because you didn't know where to go, or was it cause your character being complete garba...
