Sony needs stronger sales in the PS brand to cover bigger loss in others.
A TRUE failure only happens when it is no longer in production, AND ceased being sold in the market due to lack of supports/sales or unintended defects. Less is not always a failure, it is just not conclusive.

Been a routine for media outlets to bring out controversial or overblown titles in their submissions. They knew fans at N4G would always hungry for **console A was winning over console B** type of deal. It seems as if console war arguments are far more important than playing games. It becomes media war not just console war. Fans click is easy money for the media.
Somehow i like the B-bomb rated ad, haha it just feels fresh after all those played-nice ads we saw on TV. Clearly this ad is targetting hardcore gamers, but the kinect gimmick is kind of over saturated.
Spencer has been mega active lately, it causes some fanboys heads to explode, let alone allergic.

My wild prediction:
Electronics division will be sold to Apple. iOS devices mostly use cameras made by Sony.
Gaming division is going to stay long if more consoles & 1st party games were selling faster.
