PS5 is a closed system, so you work with what you have. PC as you know is not one thing. It's many and is governed by cost.

Regarding issues with the game itself and other games.
There should be settings built into the game that uses either 4gb,8gb,12gb cards.
Doesn't even show how much ram is being used, Heck even the RE engine shows that.
It's pretty simple. Firstly.
Ram 16gb for x, 10gb for s.
Bus 320bit for x 128bit for s.
The ram speed throughput is a massive difference.
560GB/s (10GB), (8GB) 336GB/s for x.
224GB/s (8GB), 56GB/s (2GB) for s.
Look at the massive drop in speed once you pass 8gb. crazy stuff.
Not to mention lower compute units, less cpu speed.

Totally agree though. If you are done with Spiderman then play other titles. They are good games, but there's plenty of other titles to dig into. I'm quite sure insomniac have another unnamed title in the works. They knock games out. crazy studio.

Raytracing reflections are used on PS5 as they are in Spiderman, Same engine. tested by professionals with first hand knowledge.
PC Ray-tracings problems are bugs and on AMD side a driver issue.
Lastly if AMD want to compete in the RT space, they need to come up with a solution. As in a unique chip to do it, not just make the gpu with some driver things help it. It's miles behind Nvidia.
That's why always wait and see what the game plays like on any device before you buy.
I think they've done a good job porting it to pc, but it needs to be able to run on lower end cards and should have a ram indicator to show how much video ram is being used.
Why would they make another console. The series x is a dud. The main seller of it is the series s and it's struggling bad graphically.
A 2070s is nowhere near to a PS5.

PS5 trounces it in throughput of textures, pixels per scene. Basically everything. That's without the larger ram pool.
The PS5 is in between a 3060ti and 3070.
