Gamespot is very biased against playstation.. (for the last 3-4 years). i have been going to gamespot and ign for like ever and for the las few years when it comes to playstation there is a consistant difference between them where as for xbox there is not that much.
this game doesnt deserve a 7.9....but neither a 9.0. it should get something in 8s.
sony is bigger but is also supporting 3 gaming platforms as apposed to just 1 by microsoft.

5 years are too less for a console cycle. it takes almost 1.5 - 2 years for developers to learn the system and produce there tools then big projects takes 1.5-2 years to complete (except for EA). a console cycle should atleast be of 7 years like ps2 then u see great things on the system. with a 5 year cycle u would see only one HALO game per cycle.
Also hardware is very expensive for thge first 2-3 years. i think optimal time for console to be replaced is in 7th year.

Patents are nothing new....i read a published paper on an XWand research project funded by Microsoft back in 2003. Very few of the patents and research projects do actually lead to a product....

this is not an ingame screenshot....people who think that it is would be disappointed by the final product which may very well look great but not up to it. remember motorstorm or next to come killzone...no matter how good these games look one always tend to compare them to the prerendered stuff and then get disappointed.
dont worry 2 years down the road MS will come up with "We do not regret Abandoning Xbox360 So Early" and would tell u that they wanted to focus on Halo 4 and could create a better experience of Halo 4 on xbox720 or xbox480 or whatever they call it by then.
