Production values dont make a game good. I agree that the presentation is incredible, but the overall campaign is lacking. The ending kinda makes it better (or worse for some).
Gameplay IS king though imo, so anything less than an 8 is stretching it.
Their games arent the problem, its their scummy business practices that affect my enjoyment of the games that pisses me off
Battlefront should have a campaign too. That's one of the biggest criticisms of the game.
I really liked 3s multiplayer. However, I never got to play 2's, which everyone seems to love.
But based on TLOU and the gameplay I've seen so far, 4s multiplayer looks to be pretty awesome. The only thing that has me worried is the microtransactions.
I care about Doom 4...
Children dont buy $60 games though. Theres no reason Nintendo cant be kid-friendly and offer mature experiences as well.
They NEED to break that path. I loved the original pokemon games, but the formula has grown stale to me. Open world rpg with wild pokemon is the obvious way to go.
@testfire
Resolution matters, but not as much as people make it seem. I agree with Angelic that issues like microtransactions and DLC are more worth discussing
I dont know why you hate Detroit so much, but youre missing lots of great games just because of a silly setting-bias
So do you not play GTA 5 or any other games that arent modeled after towns in Europe?
Depends on what you mean by spin off. Id consider this more like a regular GT game just with the added competition thing. Its not really comparable to Forza Motorsport and Horizon
Isnt that why you paid $60 for the game?
So do you like microtransactions or something? Even if theyre relatively harmless, it would be better if they weren't there at all. I hate how microtransactions are being thrown into everything. At least Halo gives you plenty of content from the get-go.
It would be kind of silly for them to give it less than a 9, being that thays what they gave Evolve. Great score nonetheless, I just wish ign had some kind of score-standard
Hes just such an iconic character. Apparently his character is really fleshed out in the books, but I havent read them. To me though, Master Chief is Halo. Reach and ODST were good, but you didnt play as Chief and thats why they weren't main titles. Maybe this started as "Halo: Guardians" but they decided to add the 5 to help sales and recognition.
If they had taken the story in the same direction as the MC vs Locke commercials, I would have agreed with you. But they didnt, and I dont find Locke an appealing character at all.
Agreed, and I like Locke about as much as I liked Raiden...:/
Like MadMonkey said, the Ps3 was steadily outselling the 360 from the start. The XB1 has to start outselling Ps4 before it can even start to close the gap.
I decided I was gonna hold off on the game, so I went ahead and watched the campaign. The ending was pretty cool, but it would have been WAY better playing as chief. Only being him for 3 missions just makes you realize how much Locke sucks.
343 should have made Chief the main protagonist. They would have had to change the story details, but they could've reached the exact same ending with a Chief-focused story.
Some people actually see their friends in real life and want to play on the same TV. It's sad that you want them to NOT put in a feature that people want.
