Agreed. Not going to support this nonsense.
Exactly. Great way to lose a lot of your fan-base.
@tyler
I've said this to all of your comments, but:
I'm not going to pay $60 for half a game. Having more multiplayer content doesn't excuse Activision screwing over the players who like the Single-Player Story Mode.
It's a shame, because CoD used to have a pretty decent story mode...

Don't look at Eurogamer's review lmao, it just says to AVOID.
I hate racing games, so I completely disregard Forza.
For me personally, I have no reason at all to upgrade to the Xbox One X, because all I have to look forward to is Crackdown 3, which looks pretty crappy.
There's a possibility that Microsoft may release a new Halo or Fable game, but those franchises are SO stale by this point that I'm not excited at all.
Glad I went with PS4 this gen, and I kinda regret buying an Xbox One at...
@onelove
The point is, that the Xbox One X is CLEARLY powerful enough to run this type of game, so WHY is the game releasing in such a buggy and glitchy state?
The series has become a complete cash-grab by Activision. It sucks, because I used to genuinely enjoy Call of Duty back in the 360 days.
@rude-ro
I personally don't think people are idiots for buying the game. People are free to spend their money on whatever they want.
However, if you were a COD gamer of old, I don't see how you're not disgusted by how the franchise has turned out in recent years. Activision is milking their loyal fan base for their hard-earned dollars, and it is NOT okay.
@tyler
Again, having more Multiplayer content doesn't excuse screwing over the players that enjoy the Story Mode. This is just a cop-out by Activision, they save a lot of money by not having to develop a single player campaign.
@tylerdurden
Nope. No story mode=no buy.
Regardless of how much multiplayer content there is, Activision is royally screwing the fans that enjoy the single-player.
COD has gone in the exact OPPOSITE direction that I want it to go. It'll be a long time before I spend by money on this franchise again.
I remember being in high school and being so pumped for the release of Modern Warfare 2. Oh how this franchise has fallen...
Activision has become just as bad as EA. They expect us to pay full price for half a game. I was done with Activision as soon as I got screwed with the first Destiny. $120 to get the full game. F*** that.
Definitely gonna pass on this. No story mode means no buy. I'm not gonna pay full price for half a game.
Yeah, unfortunately, Microsoft probably views this path as more profitable. If they have the majority of their base subscribed to a play-all-games monthly fee, they don't have to worry about individual games bombing in sales.
Luckily it's free and you don't have to pay anything for it!**
** (As long as you subscribe to Microsoft's monthly fee!)
Nah dude, TLOU 2 will be before the PS5.
Not him, but I do think it's a small possibility.
Sony might let Days Gone and Ghost of Tsushima handle the Spring and Summer next year, and let the big third parties handle the Fall and Winter, giving Naughty Dog more development time.
Then, they could release TLOU 2 in early 2020, and have PS5 release during the holidays with an eventual "enhanced" edition of the game.
Crazy theory, I know, but I think it might be a sma...
"Shambling, repetitive mess" seems to be the general consensus for this game...
