It's a little bit ridiculous to call out Sony for not allowing crossplay on ONE single game, when they've been open to crossplay for YEARS, and it was Microsoft who NEVER allowed it.
So basically, it's okay for Microsoft to deny crossplay with Sony for years, but once Sony says no to one game, they're suddenly the devil? Really?

I could see this happening, or at least having a "premium" model a year or two after launch.
However, Microsoft told us that their incredible Cloud technology could increase the power of their console by over 4 times, so I don't see why we even need a new console.
Obviously, Microsoft lied to us (which is not okay), and they're obviously going to release a new console. I just find it funny how the Xbox faithful have completely forgotten ...

Yes, IDEALLY, Sony would allow crossplay.
BUT, the only thing it would do for Sony from a business perspective would be to hurt their sales.
Maybe if Microsoft hadn't been SO against crossplay with Sony LAST GEN, we wouldn't be having this issue today.
How? Multiplayer is one of the major reasons that the Souls games are as popular as they are.
And this is coming from a Singleplayer only guy.
I prefer SP too, but the multiplayer in Souls games were great, and had a very dedicated fan base. I don't know how to think about this.

It was NOT a success.
If it WAS, then it would've sold well despite gamepass's existence.
Fact of the matter is, the game had TERRIBLE reviews, and only made a profit because it was offered for FREE on MS's monthly service.
If your games are SO bad that they can't sell for $60, then it makes sense to put them out for free on a rental service.
Bloodborne 2 would be a day one buy for me and most Souls fans.
I would prefer a new engine, but honestly, I'm gonna buy it either way lol.
