For MONTHS, Xbox fans here were saying Microsoft was going to buy Valve or CDPR, and they ended up buying a bunch of no-name studios and Ninja Theory. And Playground, who already made Xbox exclusives anyways.
Xbox One released 5 years ago. Microsoft is 5 years too late. Why are they JUST NOW investing in first party? It's kind of ridiculous tbh.
@optimus
"Halo, Gears, Forza"
So basically the exact same games that Xbox has been getting since 2007?
SURPRISE! A new Halo!
SURPRISE! A new Gears of War!
SURPRISE! A new Forza!
Much surprise!
Right? The PR is real.
Microsoft should've started focusing on their First Parties YEARS ago. The One came out literally 5 years ago, and they're just now putting a focus on making some first party games, which we won't see for even years after this.
"And I still walked away wanting one or two of their exclusives"
What exclusives..?
Microsoft showed us that they're willing to fight NEXT GEN. They've already given up hope for the Xbox one. They should've bought some studios YEARS ago, and then maybe the Xbox would have a better lineup than Sea of Thieves, SoD2, and Forza. That's literally ALL that Xbox has this year.
They're shifting all focus onto the next Xbox.
Sea of Thieves is a boring mess that's currently sitting at a 69 on Metacritic.
This game would have to be pretty damn bad to be worse than Sea of Thieves.
"Creating stories with friends"
That's a pretty creative way of saying that there's no story and nothing to do.
I mean, they're both big budget Pirate games. Of course they are going to be compared.
So hyped!
Even if the article is positive, Gamingbolt has established themselves as absolute garbage.
Honestly, this is one of my most anticipated games. The more I see, the more hyped I become.
I know people may disagree, but this is a day one buy for me.
@xmarksthespot
You okay bro?
I hope my comments didn't hurt your feelings.
Absolutely, but it's rumored that Playground Games is working on a Fable game.
That being said, this studio is probably working on another so-so Xbox Gamepass Game,
As a Singleplayer gamer, I sure hope they will make games that cater to us.
Knowing Microsoft's history though, I'm very skeptical.
More than likely, they're making games that are designed for Xbox GamePass.
Hopefully, they will make games that are actually GOOD, and not just games that are designed for Xbox GamePass.
@slaphappy
You can call it "pro-consumer" all you want, but the ONLY reason that Microsoft is doing this is because their previous exclusive games (Sunset Overdrive, QB, etc) completely FLOPPED in sales.
This is the ONLY way for Microsoft to make a profit on their games.
If you pay a monthly subscription, then Microsoft doesn't have to worry about individual games flopping.
Mmm, the more Samurai games the better.
You can say that Journalists are more knowledgeable, but why does that mean that CDPR can't show gameplay to their most dedicated fans?
Yeah, I doubt that. Scalebound is dead, Microsoft killed it.
Ninja Theory is a good studio though, so there may be a good exclusive in the next 5 years or so.
