@cluckey, vita has better console style games definitely (let me know when 3ds can play borderlands 2), but 3ds has a much larger variety of games that are popular with the handheld market. I mean it has Pokemon for gods sake, that alone pretty much guarantees millions of sales
From what I've heard and seen on the beta, the crucible and strike missions definitely require PS+. When doing story and explore missions it didn't specifically say you needed it, but it could really go either way considering the game is always online.
@xblskull, I found the pvp to be extremely fun, you must've not been very good at it;)
OT: I can't wait for the 9th. I'm not a huge fan of multiplayer games (don't like COD, used to play Halo a lot before I switched to ps3) but I had so much fun in the beta that I'm completely sold on this game.

@darx. The gameplay does not look "awful". It's just a standard tps. The guns also look really interesting. I wonder what your opinion is on quantum break? They're both basic tps's but according to certain Xbox fans (not all) the order looks terrible but quantum break is revolutionary. It's quite hypocritical if you ask me

I loved Diablo 2 but never played D3 because it was a turn off for me due to always online, auction house, and the new classes (I liked d2s classes way better). But I may just try it out now that it's on current gen console to see how I like it
Agreed, the Order is just mind blowing. Definitely one of the best looking games ever. And then we have Uncharted, Halo, and SSM and GG's next game to look forward to, I can't even imagine the graphical fidelity games will have by the end of this gen. This will also encourage developers to make better looking games on PC that really utilize the hardware, so everybody wins.
Maybe "based in realism" is the better term. The ww2 games were still much more realistic than exoskeletons and laser guns, just saying
That about sums it up actually. They don't even have to worry about their potential sales being limited because of exclusivity, due to the fact that MS already gave them boatloads of cash. And then the game will still eventually come to other platforms= win-win for square enix. It's just a loss for some gamers who are TR fans

I will get the witcher on ps4 eventually, having never played one of the games before I can't wait to see how good it is. And I'm perfectly fine that the PC version is "oh so superior", because I'm still going to have fun playing it.
Yeah I don't see how COD went from a realistic WW2 shooter to this future scifi action fps. I just wonder how many more entries in the franchise we're going to see. Are we going to have a COD every year for the next 20 years? It just seems to me like they're overdoing it. However they obviously have a huge fan base so the franchise isn't going anywhere.
I'm just rambling now but I agree they should go back to more modern day style games.
What's your definition of RPG? Last time I checked that stands for role playing game, and last time I checked that's exactly what the elder scrolls games are. Like em or hate em, you gotta admit that the ES games are some of the best games around, with some of the best lore. If only they weren't so dang bug-ridden. And that musical score is just genius
