Doesn't matter why, the Nintendoom people were and are still wrong, thats all there is to it. Nintendo already has the highest reviewed exclusives, now with all the money will rack up from their mobile ventures thegames will only get better. Even if their next console doesn't sell well, They will still have money to make the best games.

They said it had nothing to do with mobile, it was only shown in the graph to show they will continue creating dedicated gaming systems.
Its not a bad idea, especially from a business stand point. Iwata's propsed plan put my fears to ease.
looks like there will be no negative effect on their dedicated gaming systems. If anything it will secure more funds for their console games. also needless to say its good advertising.

except those games are all different genres and only share the charater mario and NES remix isn't amario game. Games that are completely different genres but share characters releaseing anually can't really be considerd anually sequels in a franchise.

As far as exclusives go Nintendo owns 2015 uncharted or no uncharted. as far as third party goes PC owns 2015, 2016, 2017 ect ect. If we are talking about sales, PS4 will still beat xboxone.

The writer says "we know the mario formula is good" but what formula is that? being a good game?. The difference between every 3D mario is far greater than the difference between almost any other franchise.
I would prefer they work on greatly expanding the multilayer offerings, larger mech variety would be a good start.
