@QuackPot, fine lets all agree that this is the reason why many developers are making crappy games for the PS3.
Is that a good thing?
Making a system that allow games to be developed without needing rocket scientists is also power. Making games for the PS3 may cost a lot more to developers to make games and therefore limiting the support for the PS3 since it can go out of their budget.

I am not worry about the failure rate... people I know that had problems with their 360 say that microsoft support is one of the best and they didnt even have to pay for shipping... once they got their 360 fixed they get an extra year warranty. It only cost $60 to buy an extended warranty for 2 years. So, aside from the anoyance of being 1 week or 2 without the consoles which may lead to some having to actually experience sun light... I think is not that bad.

Actually only a few people have a problem with changing disk. Only Sony fanboys have made a big deal out of that. I don't remember me having a problem changing a after 20 hours of game play which usually would translate to 2 weeks of gaming (at least to me... I have a job). To undermind this even further... "More storage" - well HD DVD space is enough for any movie 1080P movie.
I do agree about "More support" ... that's the only advantage I think blu-ray has when it comes to movies. If I were looking for more storage for storing files and other things not related to movies.. then we should be talking about Holographic Versatile Disc. Don't you think? Is 3.9 terabytes good enough for you? ...
hollywood is not in the UK. Obvioulsy Blu-ray is kicking @$$ here in the states... but HD DVD success does not depends on the UK.

What's worst is that some of those games end up being ported to the PS3 which tend to be even worst.
I hope this is true... I would buy one. I prefer the PSP over the DS though I have both. I currenly use my PSP for homebrew... I don't mind buying this one if one day I get interested in the features it has related to the PS3. Besides... I am sure that this PSP will probably be more advance than the next nintendo DS.
hehe... the PS3 is doing average... hehe... nice way to put it... at that rate the PS3 installbase is going (going down every week) it will be a matter of time before it reaches the 360... when was the last time the PS3 numbers went up in japan or anywhere?

Why are sony fans asking Sony to drop the price of the PS3? Where is your loyalty to the company? Before they can drop the price they need to make a profit. their future depends on it. Do you want them to lose more money then they are? You can support their cause by buying a PS3 to as many people as you know. Also, don't forget to buy as many blu-ray movies as you can.

I am noticing a greater anti xbox spirit around here lately... I think the "Sony defence or protection" group... or wherever they are called... are taking over this site.
Hopefully is a new Final Fantasy game exclusive to the 360. That way PS3 fans don't have to be angry their games was ported to the 360, and 360 fans will have their share of the Final fantasy world. And that way I will be able to play 2 final fantasy games since I would get the PS3 version anyways... that will go with what they previously stated when they said, "it doesn't want Sony to be overwhelming winner or loser"... To bad, that will make many Sony fanboys angry anyways...
I had my 360 for a while now and don't have one scratched disk.

I don't think every game will translate well from the PC and the consoles... but there are many games that would. I wouldnt mind playing board games, and other genre where using a mouse or a gamepad makes no difference. I know lots of people are close minded about this... but I don't mind.
