Well, heh yeah 360 can run some graphics that are equivalent to some PS3 launch titles, yeah 'some' launch titles, actually Heavenly Sword or Lair graphics are still way ahead of anything 360 and 2007's Uncharted1 is far, far above anything that 360 can do today(yes, Alan Wake couldn't even topple that).
So anyways, in closed-rooms and pretty basic mechanics, Rising can look a little better than MGS4 which came out '2' years back, its a good thing tha...
-MGS4 was on 29GB of space, 360 can't even dream of putting up with that with its primordial DVD, heh heh, and thats just one of many reasons it wasn't a fit for the 360 :)
-Moreover, Rising isn't a Metal Gear series game, its a spin-off with small segmented areas and enemies to kill... no stealth, no storyline depth, no exploration, just hack n slash, so OK its welcomed, but far from a magnificence that was MGS4...

and what I see here is a lot of potential with these buttons, like picking up objects and react to ingame physics and stuff, and yeah, all in HD with real textures and proper physics... something not there in Wii, yeah PS3 is all good without these peripherals but an option is totally f***in welcomed. This and 3D will make PS3 an even better system to own, not worse :)
I think this vid is old but DAMN thats impressive... even the fingers of the avatar robot grasp and twist, this is 1:1 stuff in the truest sense :)
when your 1st party is lacking and slacking behind, for instance for me I can hardly look out at any 3rd party game in this year's event for there's a TON of 1st-party goodness heading towards the PS block, though for 360 you are spot on.
I know I will be loving 3rd party stuff like Vanquish, F3: Vegas, Batman, Star Wars, Brink etc. etc. in today's 360 event having little to no interest in gears or halo, but tomorrow, even when these 3rd-party games will be affir...

and btw, even some low-res images can blow away if content is there, consider watching KZ2, GT5 or Uncharted2 low-res screens for comparison :)
This game is looking SWEEET!!!
The environment is HUGE and NPCs/destruction is pretty amazing, volumetric clouds and particles are all top notch... considering I was totally not expecting this from the game :)
and in all, KZ2-3 still have more personality and storyline integrity, and anyways, PC takes 10x more resources than a PS3 to run/make a game 'look' a little better thats all... big deal!
Frankly, this game and its engine has been sooo much in touting for sooo long, its absurd not to see anything spectacular here, I've seen cloth fluttering but KZ2-3 has way more of that, the ocean water in KZ3 is entirely 3D and polygonal, have yet to see anything like that in Cry2, the characters in KZ3 has way more personality, while the aliens/hero of Cry2 are a standard fare long debuted since like Doom1. The textures of Cry2, "lack of photorelism" and pretty normal-esque sh...

yeah I remember, and I also remember last year they fully delivered on that vision, actully surpassing it... actually, surpassing it many times with games like uncharted2, gow3, mgs4, GT5prologue, heavy-rain etc. etc. PS3's proposed hadware is really what was shown back in 2005 :)

Yup, you mean KZ3... well actually I'd go for a KZ2 head on vs Cry2 as well but lets not be too cruel on the PC fanboys, lets give them chance to save some self-respect they've left after knowing and finding every six months that a fixed hardware console that came out 4 years back and is wayyy cheaper than a basic PC gets a game thats pure technical innovation and that breaks award-records, while for all those years in the past they've only had Crysis and now the mediocre-shooter ...
