Loved the article, the weaknesses maybe there but this article totally highlighted this game's superiority to every other racer out there. Love how GT franchise always destroys the competition in da face.
I was amazed how they picked out every single aspect... 1080p, 3D, Head-Tracking, photomode, 16 player multiplayer, day/night transition and above all, the dear old GT feel and gameplay. They totally pointed out how its not much different from the past iterations, but ho...
funny how halo reach or alan wake or even mass effect 2 couldn't make such a splash...
and btw, I totally found out just today... halo reach lost the halo 3's water effects, such a shame, and they said it was an improvement over halo 3... my artts...
yeah and they also said the detail of cars increased significantly as well as how they put 16 cars on screen in the final game instead of 12 in the gt5p demo and still manage to pull off this level of detail both in 720p and 1080p is nothing less than staggering!

The current AMD implementation is weak in comparison to both gow3 and LBP2 implementations... though with the passage of time it will get better and really shine on GPUs... HELLL, it frees up so much time and resources that the image can be refined further in many ways possible... way ahead of MSAA or CFAA styles.
...even better at places, Crysis2 looks ace but nowhere in league of KZ3. I believe even only KZ3's environmental variety and each place's specific features(jungle, snow, lava, urban) would make too-variant and supreme a proposition for Cry2 to compare to :)
Crysis keeps pushing the boat only in the 'textures' department in only a 'single-jungle' environment. Hell, any game on any system can do it if as much time is given to it. Crysis dev started in 2004(right after 1st far cry) and has been given each relasing gpu benefit. Even still it does not have "Cloth Physics", "interactive Water", "Soft Body Collision / Organic Collision Deformation"... "multiple Environment Types". Nothing in Crysi...
...consoles pioneered in a tech(gow3, lbp2, kz3-maybe) and now that's being brought to PCs. 2 years from now, PC fanboys will say that the amazing MLAA was brought first on PCs and only a PC hardware can handle it ;)
...an Uncharted-2 chicken for that matter :)
...and in really really impressive amounts. Actually the colouring of Mirror's Edge is pretty monotonous, its pretty but its same all around.
In Uncharted 2, you have Ice/Snow area, urban area is extremely colorful, I enjoy watching Nepal and Pakistan flags in full colours fluttering around embassy, Borneo jungle is sweet as hell and the temple stage and finally the Shangri-La are rich, lush and pouring of colours. Uncharted 2 actually mocks these sepia coloured games by...
...I've put up some gow3 pics in there with your PC shots in your thread. Watch 'em and try to laugh... actually I kept laughing at your PC picturs, consider they take 8x more resources to render than a PS3 but only look a little better, and not better at all in some cases. Poor PC!
Edit>>> Why disagree? go watch his thread he gave up there, I just owned his MF thread ;)
1. So does everyone else, though he stated his choice first, I merely iterated your exact words :)
2. Heh, in your dreams. Features, sheer ease of use, multiple game styles and cinema etc aside, SC2 can't even start to compare with LBP visuals and water physics etc. even being a 2 yrs old game. Moreover, LBP2 is bringing up insane grappling-hook and soft-body FX that are totally unprecedant :)
3. Again, my point of no PC sim being comparable to GT5 remain...
doublepost.. obviously something fishy with N4g 2day :)
MMOs will be coming to consoles but when they aren't here(as well as RTS), nobody misses them. They are strictly PC-ish games, next you'l say PS3 don't have explorer flash games, yeah, big deal ;)
Also where MMOs and RTS are mostly absent on consoles, I already mentioned fighting games(DOA, Mortal Kombat) like games and rich platformers are absent on PC. Street Fighter 4 has been released on PC but really, who cares?
Also RUSE is coming to PS3 as well! and...
Well, thats your preference, not necessarily anyone else'.
-So yeah, LittleBigPlanet did wonders for me, have spend over 300 hrs. in creating and refining games and certainly PCs don't have any tool remotely as fun and accessible and physics rich as this. Also, LBP2 is coming up with gazillions more features.
-MGS4, frankly the most sound and aggressively complete gaming experience... straight 30hrs for completion, and it ain't a rpg at that.
KZ3 water is picture perfect example of frozen ocean:
Watch real heavy water:

at 04:47 ... ocean, I came :)
...this does look amazing, but you know, its never real or final when it comes to PC.
-Why is the guy not playing with the stage himself? -why show a video?
-why is it still a tech demo even if the game is pretty much near completion?
-Will all this be applicable to the entire sandbox? -is it a true sandbox at all as crysis 1 was?
-Why show one tech only in one video?...
c'mon blast 'em all up together... AI + NPCs + physics + dest...
"Eurogamer: By saying that you mean you couldn't make it for the Xbox 360. Why do you say that?
Bruce Oberg: We're using so much more of the Cell processors now, I just don't know if other platforms have the horsepower to pull it off. At the end of inFamous 1 we were using 30 per cent of the Cell processors at any one time. Now we're creeping up over 50 and 60 per cent, because we know how to put things on to the Cell processors. I don't know where we...
Yeah and that's not all fans... it includes everyone even the haters who even can't wait to check out the definitive racing sim of the decade.
