"I don't know how about:
-Bigger worlds not possible on last gen
-Faster loading or no loading at all
-More enemies on screen
-Better effects
-Better physics in simulation games
-Better cloth physics
-Better lighting
-More polygons
-Dynamic Weather, smoke, volume effects, etc.
-Higher framerates while being more stable
-and plenty of other new tech breakthrough's" ...
To all xbone fanboys on Ryse being the best looking next-gen game,
man its just a word microsoft put in a handful of reviewers' mouth to be promoted by fanboys. No big publication has sited it to be the best looking one ever.
Digital Foundry being fanboyistic never even mentioned the graphical shortcomings of Titanfall, even they pointed out the weaknesses of Ryse and Killzone:SF already blew it out of water.
Also, Ryse is a closed corner action game and ...
Yes Timesplitter14 I think you are right in there in that clipping point though still I think I've seen something like water body separating and rejoining in Resitance2, Champions of Norrath and Ghosthunter, something like:
https://www.youtube.com/wat...
I'll try to bring here a vid from Champions of Norrath and PS3's Untold Legends water vid.
Also I believe you'...
^^ To ^^
Yeah, but as far as your mention of water body breaking off and then uniting, mixing and reacting as a whole is concerned, all these games:
PS2:
Champions of Norrath, Ghosthunter, Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks etc.
PS3:
Resistance 2, Killzone 3, LittleBigPlanet 2 etc.
These^^ all have fluid properties where parts of water body can break, splatter apart, unite and mix up again as one reacting object!
TimeSplitter14 you are right in that its not 'complete' fluid physics, yes, with the passage of time they'll be adding up more and more, all the individual elements... but as far as liquid matter "Reaction" is concerned, its really well done in certain games and that IS a physical element alright.
As with touching a crate would just slide it away VS ageia or physx adding up variations in how the rigid bodies 'react' when touched... did bring in ...
See the video I posted above for the PS1 game 'Dead in the Water'.
THAT game managed to do full fluid mechanics and water physics in 90s on PSX for God's sake... why can't they pull together on modern day machines? Esp. the oh-so-heavenly PCs.
I'm seeing consoles have been doing their part with all their limitations etc. Resistance 2, the biggest name comes to mind, its water effects boggled me!
Absolutely, can't believe they can't put it together even yet... I've seen the best yet in Resisdtance-2. But mostly its a bypass when it comes to water/fluids.
Here, PS1 was able to do amazing water physics, even better than the legendary wave-race 64, in that game called "Dead-in-the-Water":

Astonishing indeed!
What dragonopt1 is trying to say is that there is a persistent feeling of lack of variety that gives you a lessening impression. What I got from the game was that it feels nothing more that what I've seen with the classic Unreal Tournament games with cheats enabled... I got mech warrior like bots into this game, I don't get hurt due to gravity, I couldn't destroy the world and that's basically it.
Tech-wise, there is nothing next-gen... please argue with me really, <...
NNah! Resolution matters, and yes KZ IS 1080p!
Only MP is not, which is a part of the game... the main story element IS 1080p... alas nothing like that on XB1... Forza maybe, but we saw how much they had to sacrifice on it to run it in 1080p ;)
Ok Ok OK soft body and stuff that's what I have been hearing... all good and great, metal bending, got me pumped... but I've been skeptic, uptill now when he said cloth interaction with real physics... I'm floored!
This is hpe for me people, now spill some beans over water effects of the game!
Right man, the ear, the head gear, the real 3D hand wear, the blood splatter... I never thought next-gen would bring THIS much jump over the previous fidelity :O
Dude your shots made my day, the foliage in Drive Club is just NEXXXT Gen, I mean its plain sexy! thankyou :D
Here it is people, enough said!:

Dear GOD!!!
Dear God, game's a mess. Only 200 cars, 14 tracks, cutted out features... definitely a rush for the launch and man it looks weak. Pics from the article:

@whoyouwit04
Well, all the negatives they had before the e3:
-'intentionally' leaving high-end gfx capabilities to focus on TV
-have low powered ram with more stuck in OS operations
-Forced kinect integration
-The appeal of the console: a shitty name and crappy dev-kit design
after e3:
-100$ more than PS4 with less power
-every tiny to big game shown, not much left for other conventions
-crappy to no indi...
...and a past-gen resolution upon that.
