Yeah, they seem to have plenty of stock in the UK too, but they're charging way more than they are in the States. How much are the cameras in Germany?
Ha, someone's just commented on the original story with:
"Dear writer allow me to answer your question.
The PS4 has this app called "U-Stream" that allows for completely uncensored live streams.
I'm not even sure you need the camera as far as streaming games are concerned unless you want to show your face.
But to answer your question people are getting the camera in order to start their own adult oriented love stream s...
Think I'll wait for a while. I enjoyed a few games on the Move (on PS3), but Sony seem slow to get it going on PS4.
I've been hearing a rumour that they'll bundle the camera with the new VR headset, so it may be worth hanging on until then. Fingers crossed that bundle actually includes a discount.
Yeah, like you say, at least it's optional. I had a brief go at streaming when i had an early copy of Tomb Raider, but until you have an audience it feels like hard work getting going. It's a bit weird with titling broadcasts of the PS4 too. It seemed like I could name my channel, but not the name of that specific broadcast. That was a few months ago though.
Never had motion sickness with Mirror's Edge myself, really enjoyed the way the camera moved. But you're not the first person I've heard complain about that though.
No, it's more like reduced tax rates for publishers/studios. This would make the UK a more attractive place to work for these businesses. Better for budding UK designers etc too.
I'd have been gutted if that was my work being shamed like that!
It's a shame they're phasing the OLED version out really. Nobody wants a duller screen.
A lot of stores did. But they saved a few after they found a buyer for the company. Just this week though, they announced they're ditching their pre-owned games department.
Activision are good at letting quality slip through their fingers. They are the same publishers that dumped an almost finished Sleeping Dogs (aka True Crime: Hong Kong) because they didn't think it would sell enough to recover marketing costs. "Thanks!" said Square Enix.
I think somebody from Microsoft walked past their window, and burst in with their chequebook and begged them for a port.
Nice. That's makes me feel much better. Laser sword looks beasty. Why couldn't we play a demo like that?! Would have been pre-order bedlam all over the game's retail tour.
Overall, MS sold more units than the PS4. The PS4 was comfortably beaten in the US as far as I know, but Sony ended up on top in Europe. It took ages for the PS3 to catch up MS overall though.
Yes, I know the PS3 had a better range of exclusives (it was my main console throughout last gen) but I feel Sony are playing their cards too close to their chest right now. show us some new stuff
@Lukas. I think it was an earlyish (older?) demo. I cleared an area of gov goons, destroyed a backup van, then finished off a minigun boss with a screen-clearing move.
Just felt a bit limited. Neon power was really dull, one ranged laser attack was all Delsin had. Pressing circle to morph around (dodge) looked pretty cool though.
I've seen some better looking scenes in trailers etc, so why Sony have given this crappy-looking demos to stores to promote th...
Yeah, I think it's going to do well too, but I think many gamers will be buying it because there's not much else on offer. I enjoyed the last two, but this isn't looking like much of a step up for the series. Fingers crossed I'm wrong and it'll be awesome and it's just Sony's marketing fecking things up.
I gave it a 6. Was disappointed after playing the great first game. Seemed so half-assed. A shame really. But yeah, it wasn't broken.
Maybe, def a dev or someone from Konami. Yeah, don't why they were so uppity about that.
I think you can set it to either. Be careful of it backing up a corrupted save and it wiping over the one one before though.
That's a relief. I heard that some of the online storage ones got corrupted too though -probably a case of a corrupted one being uploaded and overwriting a safe one. So just to be one the safe side, I'd back up to a pen-drive too.
You have to wonder 'why bother' after the dismal showing of the Ouya. Plus, why would you play a mobile title on your TV?
Video streaming shiz makes sense though.
How about a Steam Box rival though, i.e. a 'proper mini pc'? No? I'll see myself out.
