ROTR's deal is just mistake done by Square, they just overestimated the sales of the xbox one at the beginning, they did receive money from the Microsoft but it is not even enough to cover the developing cost, now they have to reap the consequences of losing half of the potential customers and brand loyaltiy as they deserved.
we should be proud because it is the first console in the history with backward capatibility that not at day one and only with 100 games.

I think we'll never see what the xbone promised us at launch about Kinect which will change the way we play games. now its just an expansive gadget. And it can't redo the blunder it have made by choose an weaker hardware to compete with Sony.

do not blame the engine, it is the hardware that cause the problem(weaker and harder to optimize).
I see ps4 handles 1080p absolutely no problem, it is the xbox one that needs 900p in order to keep up with the ps4 version, just find yourself how many games run at 900 on ps4 and how many on xbox one.

beside this, there are tons of great Japanese games comming next year that wont appear on the competitor's platform, DQ heroe 2, DQ builder, DQ xi to name a few.
kinect's value is decreasing after Microsoft have abandoned it, now the only reason to have it is you can just yell 'xbox on' instead of push a button to turn on the console, an onerous job.
