People call themselves journalists!! Crazy. The reason software loses value after one month is down to retailers buying huge amounts at a time and recieving a discount for doing so. Retailers will cut prices simply to make space for new products.
If the retailer only bought 10 copies of 3D world then they have no reason to cut the price to make space. Where as if the retailer has 5 boxes of Assassins creed 4 that are blocking up the storeroom then they sell it off.

People have different concepts of casual. For me a casual gamer buys FIFA, Cod and Assasins creed. Maybe Uncharted and Last of US.

I think Japan is heading that way. A lot of Japanese Devs maybe tempted to support the home console with the large install base over the westernized PS4 with the much, much smaller install base.

I want you to understand something. It is down to retailers to order products to meet demand. If retailers fail to make orders the manufacturer will only produce what is ordered, it would be insane for a manufacturer to store and produce masses of a product with out a retail outlet. If you want someone to be angry at be angry at the buyers of large retailers.
