Ha, this is the new complaint going into 2013!
The Box Art sux!
I seriously agree with the E3 comment. But a lot of it has to do with video games going mainstream. And while I do agree with the points this authors is making I don't agree that E3 should be less of a spectacle.
There should be at least one event where all the companies go balls out to chow their product. Unfortunately the smaller guys get swallowed up by the big fish in terms of glitz. But hey there's always PAX.
Well they actually did say that releasing so many games stretches their bottom marketing and ad focus.
This could be the reason why so many folks here on N4G keep going to the "Sony doens't market enough" line.

Which I don't think is true since I see a lot of ads for Sony not to menti...
I'm all for quality over quantity. Sony has exclusives that me personally am not interested in.
But this doesn't mean that they should stop because my interests are not someone else's. But they should defintiely consider to stop making some exclusives that don't sell as well as they hoped for. Maybe shelve them for the time being, then later on create a buzz or teases of an IP returning and gauge the public interests, then drop it on the public if the response...
Why don't you get a 360 and find out Hicken.
Again, all you do is demand someone explain things to you like a little child. Do you not work at a game store? Can you not get this information for yourself? Are you seriously this new to gaming?
I have listed the features of Live that I like and compared them to what PS+ has before. Take the time and look for that comment yourself.
Ooop, you are absolutly correct sir. I should be hung and beaten for not thinking of those two games for the last couple of years.
Especially Xenoblade which I own and love.
Well I do casually kick a$% everyday so yes.
The only thing that wasn't crystal clear was the actual story. But this isn't a bad thing. A little investigation and attention to detail made the story and game that more interesting and fun. I would rather have this than a flat out narration.
This is what made Silent Hill 2 so grand. Everyone could interpret the story for themselves.
I love Live but the PS+ has it beat when it comes to the free game department.
But Live does offer all the same incentives PS+ has. I wouldn't say Live is old news I would say PS+ is now on the same level and maybe a step above Live.
I'm glad to see the WiiU up there but I am shocked to still see the Wii selling. I mean there hasn't been a relevant game for that system in a year (maybe 2).
But all in all good to see consoles still going strong. Now...bring on the next gen please!
Tetsujin,
When you are a BILLION dollar company you better have a 5 to 10 year plan or you don't stay a BILLION dollar company for long. Every tech company (every successful company) on earth is thinking 5 years ahead all the time.
It’s how they stay relevant and not die out.
More than likely the slim model will be released at a time when the next gen consoles are declining in sales or the tech inside them has gone down in price for manuf...
I agree, I'm not going to get my hopes up or anything. But I'm sure it will be a beast of a machine.
So what won GOTY 2012? I'm reading that Mass Effect 3 won best story. Which is...shocking.
@Godchild
Excellent, it’s good to see that a digital release with not even half the budget of Halo/CoD won GOTY at least for the VGA.
Hopefully more companies will follow in its footsteps and release more games that don't have to be these graphic/multiplayer juggernauts but simple, with great design and story telling.
Hmmm, how is a game that came out LAST YEAR considered OLD? I don't know LOGIC...maybe because every year that goes by things tend to get ..(wait for it).. OLDER.
You know like cars, movies, AGE.
Like OldMan says above, Capcom released updates, patches and balancing but anyone who is a SF fan would have had this game by now. And yes the UPDATE that came out last year added 4 new characters to the game and rebalance but it is still a game from 2010.
Hmmm, let me look in my wallet and see if I have enough.
Now that is a GREAT deal...even though the game is old as sh*t.
But still, a very good deal.
Those two were the greatest rivalry. I say a big NO to that. PS1 easily handed the n64 its console's bottom to itself.
Don't get me wrong the n64 had some great gems here and there but very, VERY few compared to the PS1.
A true console war would be between the SNES and Genesis. Never before have there been two sides so equally split with a great number of games from both sides.
whats the difference?
I love how you continuelly defend Sony and it's failures by saying that:
1. It was an experiment
2. It was targeted for a different group
3. It wasn't marketed well enough
Wrong, The Move had a number of casual titles and they even had support for it's hardcore games also. Just like the Wii. Some companies even tried to port a lot of their Wii titles over to the Move to see if they could get success on this "ha...
So ... no Rogue Galaxy 2?
