AMD only have 1 APU suitable for consoles in the roadmap, its called RavenRidge, its Ryzen5/Vega 56 mobile APU 4 cores/8threads, 10.5tf and at pax west an amd exec stated in futre "its the perfect evolution for consoles of the future" so id bet my house the ps5 gets powered by raven ridge, if only because its the only apu amd have coming suitable for consoles.
Ps4 sales arent slowing, they arent going to slow much in 2018 as it has great system seller games next year, so id say ps5 will come fall 2019, if that happened it gives the X 2 soild years, then it would be less powerful than the ps5, but i think would still do well for another 2 years, so id say the X will have 4 years. Microsoft need to get their mojo back with exclusives, Most 1st party games are native 4k so far, if they make the great games like they have in the past it could easily go...
Total stupidity. My ps4 pro has always been set to auto install firmware, i get home from work thursday evening, turn ps4 on, go for a shower come back and....im welcomed by a total mess, i have corrupt data tiles everywhere, none of the save files work, the problem...im in the 5.00 beta, at 10am my ps4 installed firmware 4.74 whilst i was in work....i get an email at 4pm saying if your in the beta DONT install 4.74. The difference between the ps4 and the ps4 pro is minimal, its got a slightly bigger psu, and another (cheap) GPU added, the cost to the production line was minimal. Its a refresh, basically a ps4 with double the power.
Xbox one X is not a refresh, its a totally new Console, of course it will outsell the ps4 pro, but Sony doesn't care, the pro cost hardly anything to manufacture, if they sell great, if they don't, the ps4 has netted so much profit Sony don't car...

These games in development, should have been here now, microsoft is facing a very baron period of exclusive games, the bigger problem for microsoft is the timing at launching this console, if they knew games would be in short supply, and they are already well behind ps4, why not delay this console til 2018 and have some of these games be launch titles.

i agree its a 6tf card thats and an rx 580 you are right, but on forza 7, digital foundry done their stuff and compared the performance there at native 4k to that of a 1070 in terms of technical performance, i dont think that will be the case for all games, obviously forza 7 is running on an engine totally optimized for the xbox one x, its not as clear cut as comparing an actual 580/1070 to the xbox one as a console can be optimized in a more efficient way and squeezed harder, but i agree wit...
they will have to, now xbox and ps4 are out of sync, ps5 will launch in the next 2 years, 3 tops, it will almost certainly use the new AMD Raven Ridge Apu (2018-19 release) that combines ryzen cpu with vega gpu specifications, thats what will power the ps5, and as long as the ps5 can deliver 4k to me with good frame rates ( destiny 2 at 30fps is criminal) then im happy to pay the money as long as i get quality back.

This card isnt running on optimized drivers, amd have stated its on a generic driver for the moment, it's no aimed at gamers, it can game, but it isnt the main priority. E3 2016 DEMO "oh my god, cant wait for this game". E3 2017 demo "oh my god this games rubbish" since when did people get so fickle??? Id never be a game developer, they cant win. It's a rare thing to have a perfect game start to finish, most if not every game have parts that people wont enjoy, before making judgment just wait and see the whole thing, the demo content from 2016 is still in there, there are multiple narratives going on, be patient.
Mediocre E3, Microsoft was a massive 3rd party showcase, Sony showed everything we already knew about save shadow of the colossus, keeping good stuff for psx, so nobody had a great E3 for me.
Im not knocking the X it is without doubt the most powerful console when it launches, credit to it for that, but this "rag" of a paper here in the uk, isnt far off what The National Enquirer is to americans it really is a garbage publication over here, again, not knocking the X its a fantastic bit of kit, but look to more reliable sources for info if serious about getting one.
