This one has maps coming that don't cost a week's pocket money
It's amazing the amount of new features and effort that has been put into this franchise just a year after the first game. All WWE do with their games each year is slightly update the graphics and add one or two new 'modes' that equate to nothing in particular.
I don't think most console titles need this aspect added. But you're right, it is a shame it has fallen by the wayside
If this means more people play Rocket Riot then I'm all for it
damn some of those screens look amazing!
Who needs the Grand Prix?
Excellent piece Alex.
I've just learned to not get too excited about games that are hyped as having engrossing storylines. They can never live up to expectations. They usually start on the right foot but it isn't long before something happens to disconnect and I once again remember I'm playing a game.
Metro isn't really getting the hype I expected. Reviews have been decent and it hasn't been released in competition with anything, but is anyone playing it? NPD numbers will be interesting.
How long does it take to 1k God Of War 3?
Red Dead's map is bigger than this one? Are you sure? Apparently if you fly a plane from one end of Just Cause's map to the other it takes almost 20 minutes!
Yeah not sure you'd be seeing many hen's nights there
It'll be interesting to see what the security is like in the DS's next iteration. I doubt flash cards will be prevalent for that one
Demo impressed me but it felt like it was over before it started
Would certainly be great if this dropped first quarter of 2011.
Haha Home could only be #1 - I knew it would be before reading the article.
I know. If you're wanting to make money off limited edition contents you have to get the items on ebay as soon as possible. Nobody seems to care a few months later. Look at the Halo 3 cat helmets - everyone and their dog (or cat) wanted one for that first month of release and then 6 months on there were still retailers that couldn't get rid of them for shelf price.
One problem is that very few 'limited editions' are truly limited. Most of them you can buy off the shelf on release...
I have nothing against collector's editions or the figurines, but I find probably 90% of them to be a complete waste of money. Very few of the figurines are of decent quality and I doubt any of them will become valuable because of the sheer number produced. Most special items out of collector's editions like the goggles from MW2 or the Big Daddy mini-statue from Bioshock are only sought after during the first few weeks of release of the game.
There's definitely some examples of n...
This must have been the game where Activision thought 'uh....maybe we shouldn't 17 Guitar Hero SKUs the next fiscal year'
After playing the demo what I find strange is that the engine seems to be from Guitar Hero 4 (world tour) and not GH5. I know Van Halen came out late last year in the US but this is still a bit weird. I guess it shows how overdue it is
I reckon only about 10% of collector's editions are worth the extra money. This one looks pretty suave though
A reviewer on a podcast described the battle system as 'sublime'. I really can't think of a better word. It's one of the best RPG battle systems I've ever come across.
