Sounds like it does some interesting things, but not everything gels together. It's probably had a bad time coming out so close to RDR so it'll be interesting to see the NPD numbers
If I have to get up off the couch for Kinect then we're going to have a problem
Much like football teams, I think it's best to let the child decide for themselves what company/console they like. Although I admit I'll be disappointed if mine becomes a Sony nut just to spite me
Sorry I should have mentioned it somewhere in the review - there's 2-player split-screen but I'd have to check whether it was only online. I did see it was there though.
The controls are a bit awkward at first but after playing a few of the single player missions it doesn't take long to get the hang of them.
Now that a few days have gone by I'm a bit more tolerant of what was shown at MS's press conference. Although I still think there was far more Kinect than there needed to be, they are indeed trying to sell a new product and this was the place to do it.
"Worst Aussie-Developed Game: We couldn’t find any others…"
haha. oh dear...
Some of the stuff I've read, including this, about Dead Space 2 is a little worrying. Atmosphere was one of the main ingredients that made the original successful...
DJ Hero 2 will obviously be make or break. I don't see it doing too great but we'll see....
Sony's was still a little stale, as it has been for years. There's something really clinical about their E3 events.
Nintendo totally delivered.
Last year's MS conference was so well-paced and filled out with goodness. This year's just felt slapped together with the hope everyone would sit there entranced by Kinect. As soon as the asian Bindi Irwin came out and started talking to the tiger I knew we'd hit a lowpoint....
Looks nice but when you will be able to pick up the game alone for half the price it's a bit of an ask
Microsoft needed to show us a game that was solely something ONLY Kinect could do and they failed to do so. All we got were Wii software clones. I find it hard not to be disappointed when even Peter Molyneux - a man who went on a year ago about how excited he was by the tech - came out on stage and didn't even mention it.
Really wish they could have kept just ONE memory card slot.
Also I really dislike that Xbox Live Arcade was completely forgotten. I realise there's only an hour and a half to fit lots of stuff in, but they could've cut out a few mins of the Kinect rubbish to show us the new Summer Of Arcade games. Instead they just announced them as an afterthought once the event was over
The Kinect game and entertainment demos were dead boring, at least for me watching at home. I'm sure it was more impressive in the venue.
The Metal Gear Rising gameplay video more than made up for the dull parts of the press conference though
Those Epic Mickey banners are fantastic!
If I could flail my arms around as Epic Mickey using Natal then I'd be a happy mouse
Professional: you earn a measly amount of money from gaming journalism.
Casual: you do it because you love the English language
I think it'll be a typical E3 with all that's expected and 1 or 2 surprises from each company. Then again, I like being shocked
Would be cool if this allowed some double-swinging Darth Maul saber goodness, but I guess that's asking a bit much
