I am not a fan of the expanded Star Wars universe, I have tried to like some of the novels, but they take far too many liberties. It is little better than fan fiction.

With 1080p/60 fps not quite even the standard yet for consoles, I think we are getting way ahead of ourselves. This is nothing more than consumer electronics companies seeing those profit margins dwindling for the 1080p tv's, so they have to come out with something new-ish. I have yet to see a compelling reason for me to drop another $1500-2k on a new tv.
