This game is awesome! Everyone should download it =).

SOCOM isn't about camping a single spot for minutes on end. It's about using tactics and teamwork to overtake the enemy. Sure, you might have to camp and snipe off people if you don't work with your team. But for people that do, the game is incredibly action-packed.

Me too. Love Digital Foundry's technical analyses of games =).

The first screenshot also shows off the lower resolution of the PS3 version. Probably the only pic where the two versions look completely different. Hence the disagrees.

I'm assuming 95% of the people commenting on this story didn't actually read the article. Pretty much all it does is praise the ps3.

What's so great about it? Even for its time, the graphics were incredibly bland, the environments empty, the story was lacking, and the gunplay was average. The only thing the game had going for it was the physics-based stuff which isn't all that special anymore.

@Pandamobile
I'm not saying Killzone 3 is a very innovative game, but from a gameplay standpoint, Crysis is on a different tier from Half-Life 2.

Edit: Heck, even Halo 3 and Killz...

Personally, I found Half-Life 2 boring as all hell. Never even finished it (although I was playing the ps3 version which tended to run at 10fps at times).

So it's technically 1080i? AKA the equivalent of 720p.

Edit: Whoops, didn't realize it was 1280x1080.

Alienware is for wannabe "elite PC gamers" that can't build their own system for half the price.

I don't agree with you that the series has gone down hill since it came on PS3. While I wasn't a huge fan of Tools of Destruction, I thought Quest for Booty and A Crack in Time were possibly the best of the series. Quest for Booty was a great 3-4 hour PSN game that gave fans something to nibble on until the next game came out.

A Crack in Time is definitely my favorite of the series. It had the deepest upgrade system, the best story, greatest cutscenes, most explorati...

Ps3 version also looks like it's running in a lower res. With lower res textures to boot.

@Biggest
Probably not, but it still doesn't change the fact that user reviews on metacritic are almost always biased and useless. If you want a credible review of a game, go to a professional gaming website.

@Everybody
Not much worse than the average N4G fanboy rating console exclusives as either flawless 10 games, or horrible 0.1 pieces of crap.

I would so buy some of those if I had the cash :3.

Most SD cards are more expensive than blu-ray discs, so i doubt they would go for them. However, it could be possible to tailor the size of the card to the size of the game, keeping the cards as cheap as possible.
