i find the articles coming from new players a really nice compliment to experienced gamer reviews b/c it gives a great perspective to those fans on the fence about trying out a particular game for the first time. kudos.
exclusivity breeds contempt amongst gamers and unnecessary fanboy wars. we should all be able to enjoy all games together on all consoles.
i don't care how good table tennis is, its not going to get me to buy the Move - now, you acutally come up with a good lightsaber game, and that's a different story ...
xbox is my rifle, my PC is my gun - the first is for gaming, the other's for fun.
kind of sad that so many "gamers" still push for such exclusivity -
up to this point, Capcom has refused to give MLG the licensing rights to use SSF4.
its really a bold move all around - its lets loyalists on boths sides to beat up on their platform nemesis, and opens both arenas (2D & 3D) to Tekken & Street Fighter fans alike ... and there will still be plenty of bragging rights to go around whether its the engine they use, etc ..
this is the first in a short series of articles i have planned covering the MLG / Capcom battlefield. Capcom is very resistant to allow most western entities the rights to promote their intellectual properties, and its my humble opinion that the ones who do aren't doing anyone justice ....
and forget kinect - that fucker doesn't work if you're sitting on your couch?! WTF ?!
it will never happen - if u take away controllers, thats one less item for console developers to charge us for. plus, i don't want my videogames to know what im thinking when when i get interrupted from playing them ....
kudos to Kenneth for going balls-to-the-wall w/ this article. the game-by-game breakdown was a nice touch to really show the history of this franchise.
on a side note, the DualShockers logo at the bottom-right corner of the video clip looks tight ... very slick.
its crazy that developers aren't making a bigger push to break the gender barrier. there is no excuse at this point. there are a TON of female gamers, and they deserve to be represented. Plots need not be gender-specific all the time. Especially w/ co-op becoming a norm in campaign gaming, we should see more strong female leads. as for multiplayer - there is simply no excuse.
this would all be great - if i didnt' already have it all on my xbox. the ongoing saga for Wii seems to be that there still aren't enough "hardcore" titles to draw me from my xbox. plus, the fact that i have to buy ANOTHER peripheral for the Wii to enjoy the multiplayer - i'm already invested in my xbox headset and gold subscription - to buy a headset for just one game is a tall order ....
you know, i had secretly suspected SCII had been the cause of Yaris' computer problems, but didn't want to stir the pot, however ... I KNEW IT !!
oh, and i hope the SCII fans enjoy the limelight while it lasts, cuz all thats gonna change when Halo: Reach drops .... sorry.
for the SCII fans and other MMO fans, i'm curious to hear more feedback on DC Universe Online impressions, which seems to be trying to walk the fine line of MMO gaming on a proper console w/ a more instant-gratification gameplay.
another Playstation-only racing game that looks great?! well, at least xbox still has better FPS exclusives ....

there's something odd to me about the color scheme of the game - it reminds me of what Batman might've looked like if it wasn't as refined - the lighting is off, i think - too bright on the protagonist and dark everywhre else w/ no real punch to the colors - not grey, just bland.
