oh, we've all been there!
i agree the load times are too long.......and then there are the patches/updates - it seems like everytime i turn the game on i have to download a patch.
as far as the game, i really enjoy it - especially the last half of the SP campaign. i'm loving the weapon wheel being back and having access to all of the guns.
WTF is up with all of these patches? apparently, the game wasn't ready to be released. the first 2 times i played i had to wait for updates and now there's more to come???
it's not like insomniac to send a product out the door that's in need of so many fixes.
really, it's the other way around - capcom has not been good to this gen.....and specifically, the gamers.
i don't understand the excitement for the game - gameplay looks like a standard shooter..........and i mean for any format - wii,ps3, xbox or pc.
i know - but i can hope. i was really happy that those psp GoW games came to ps3 - and i NEVER expected that.
game looks awesome..........too bad i'll never get to play it. maybe it'll come to ps3 in a couple years.
then you and the other guy are wrong. i played both from start to finish,and UC1 has a MUCH more interesting storyline than gears1....not because gears1 was bad - it's just that it's so similar to MANY other FPS.
my only complaint on the game is a small one - seems like it's way too easy to get hung up on stuff and 2 times i had to start levels over due to glitches.
however - the weapon wheel being back and the fun upgrades for the guns - not to mention the guns themselves, are all huge positives and very fun. also, the detail in the enemies is very impressive too.
the last third of the game (starting when it takes an unforseen turn - people who have played should know what i&#...
don't care if it's exclusive - as long as it's as amazing an experience as demon souls - i'm happy.
these kinds of "stories" should never be approved on the site...........pitiful that some want to try and ruin the game.
i hate to say it, but i may get a strategy guide for this one. i've never bought one before - but, if this game is as big as they say, i don't want to ever stop playing until i'm SURE i've seen every area in this world!
definite day 1 purchase.
and wii sports crushes both - so, do sales really have anything to do with the quality of a game?....no.
when i play a game - all that matters to me is if i have fun with it.
i think RE5 HAS to be the most disappointing game this gen.
on the face of it - it's tremendous news......BUT, weren't we all excited at the announcement of "agent" from rockstar?.....and, to date, we've heard or seen nothing about it.
so, i'll temper my excitement till i actually see a screen/teaser trailer.
bigpappy - you REALLY think sony is dropping the ps3? MS lost 8-10 billion on xbox and still came out with the 360. nintendo, up until the wii, has had 2 straight terrible consoles. if you don't focus on isolated periods of time and look at gaming as a whole since 1996 - sony has done extremely well.
i think you're way off base with your assessment of the situation. also, your pretty loose with what you call "facts".

my copy of the game is in the mail and on the way to my house - and i'm thrilled!
i am wondering, why aren't reviews being released yet? it's just 36 hours from official release?
there's no truth to this at all. why would sony do this? they're finally getting a price on the ps3 that the mainstream, casual consumer will buy it. the games look great and devs don't have to start a new learning curve on new hardware.
i don't see the advantage for sony to do this at all within the next 2 years.
