lordstig - that makes no sense - a person doesn't necessarily want something just because they don't have it.
i don't have a 3D tv......and i don't want one. just like the PS "move". i don't have it........and i don't want it.

however, in this case? i think jaffe is right. other than some kick-ass graphics, they've showed very little of the gameplay and we know nothing about the pacing of the game - so, i don't get all the over-zealous excitement. the first 2 were fun - but i never thought they were great........just my opinion.
me either. i'm not getting MW3 to begin with - but even if i was thinking about it - it'd take a backseat to DS, resistance3, and skyrim this fall.
i know they're going to release it. all i was doing was responding to your poorly worded comment. it was full of errors. of course new consoles may come out in the next year or 2 - i was just put off by the generalizations you threw into your post - which were completely inaccurate. as far as the cycle - people like you start to whine about a new system and lack of a "wow" factor after about 4 years - yes....i'm aware of the current console cycle and YES - i'm aware new ...

i'm not a big MP guy (except for zombies and RDR)....but, i'd LOVE to see MP for this game - i want to be able to duke it out in car combat races with online opponents!!
how do you know this? i think the car combat looks great! and it's nice to see ID getting away from strictly a narrow-corridor shooter.
ok - ID was great......back in the day - but, now they're just average.
they haven't done much in a LONG time....the last "doom" was "ok" at best.
i'm hoping ID does do it up right; but, they are NO longer an elite dev house. i don't doubt the talent is there - but, they HAVE to put out high quality games on a consistent basis to be big again. and they haven't done that for a LOOOOOOOOONG time.

BUT - there is NO reason for a new gen of consoles right now. devs have gotten a handle on how to make games for these systems and i think they're lots of fun. what, exact...
i guess you've never played demon souls?...with dark souls to hit this year? journey? echo chrome?.......not to mention all of the big releases (like gears3, ME3, UC3, resistance3, batman:AA for examples!) just on the horizon.

i'll be playing my ps3 for at least another 3 years......regardless of new console launch. there are MANY games i haven't played that i can pick up on the cheap if new consoles are rushed out.
yea - i know this....but i'd love some backstory missions on this.
look - i LOVE my ps3........but all of you blind sony fanboys need to actually look at the direction sony is trying to go in.....which IS 3D. they should focus they're energy on bluray movies/games - it's a great format without the 3D nonsense.

exactly - the #1 reason (besides no weapon wheel) i was down on resistance2 was due to the complete departure from the story - all during #1 there were hints about the cloven.....why in the he11 didn't they address them in #2?
hopefully, #3 will give us more on the cloven!
i play zombies a LOT - single and team......so i'll be getting it as soon as it hits psn on the 28th. as much as i play zombies, the price will be less than pennies per play - me and my regular team can't wait to play shangri la - i'll never even look at the other maps.
anybody on psn who wants to play zombies, look me up - "theman64" is my tag. we'll give it a try
